Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Sealed Exc

$28

Still factory sealed. This issue includes both colorful squadron decals. This high performance follow-up to the F-102 enjoyed a successful and long service life; I can remember seeing them in 'Alert 5' shelters at the Florida Air National Guard base at Jacksonville International in the 1980s. Kit is nicely detailed for it's age and features external tanks, optional position missile bay doors and a full load of Falcon Aim-4 E/F Air-to-Air Missiles

Aurora Regulus II Guided Missile - With Mobile Launching Platform, 1/48, 378-249

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc

$285

Rare and even rarer in this condition. This kit was factory sealed but the seal recently split across the back - so I opened it up to do a 100% inventory and slid the seal back on. Inside, the kit is exactly as it left the factory - never started, with the red parts still in a factory sealed clear bag and with all other parts inventoried 100% complete, including 'excellent+++' decals and instructions. 1958 release of this famous kit featuring classic Jo Kotula boxart. The large 1/48 scale missile comes with a fully operational scale launcher. Please note this is a true first issue because there is no Parents' Magazine' printed logo or the golden sticker. The model features a well detailed missile with lower booster and the mobile launcher with good suspension detail, valves boxes and covers, tow bar, servicing and access platforms with railings, elevating main pad and three figures. Molded in the correct deep gloss red, silver and dark blue plastic. Please note that this kit displays better than the 'excellent' box grade but is rated as such because long crease on part of the lower long box side. This kit must be shipped insured. The Aurora "Missile Line" is legendary. In the late 1950s, the first missile model kits sold briskly, so Aurora and Revell both planned extensive lines. However, the missile modeling craze disappeared as quickly as it started. Models that were in the works were canceled or completed if they were far enough along. Those that were completed were fine efforts but sold poorly and had very short lives, making them rare collector items today.

Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions present. The decals are in amazing 'near mint' condition and the instructions are 'excellent++.' Aurora M109 Howitzer Tank - (US Army Self Propelled Gun), 1/48, 326-150

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good

$65

1969 Big A hardbox issue. Hard to find 1/48 armor kit that has very good detail for that time. Features over 100 pieces, working bogies and tracks, rotating turret, elevating gun, driver, commander & soldier figures and more. Includes decals for US Army and West German Army. Never started. The actual tank has been inventoried with all parts present and includes decals and instructions but NOTE: missing display base. Also, the box displays slighter better than the 'good' ranking; it is graded as such because there is clear tape on two box sides and one paint run.

Aurora US Army 8 Inch Howitzer Gun, 1/48, 307-98

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Sealed Mint

$149

Still factory sealed and in investment-grade 'Mint' condition. It has no more wear than what it left the factory with and the seal is 100% intact with no tears or splits. Second issue from 1963 of this rare kit with John Steel artwork. The box top has the rare 'simplified' logo with 'Famous Fighters' still in the boarder; that only lasted one year and Aurora went to an empty border. Well detailed model for that time with 96 parts featuring moving wheels, breech, recoil mechanism, limber and gun trails.

Aurora Japanese Medium Tank - Type 97 Chi-Ha, 1/48, 313-98

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: NM

$69

The original owner opened the kit but carefully left the factory seal on the box top, which is why the box is in remarkable 'near mint' condition. The hardbox is dated 1964 with the original issue 98 cent price extension and has John Steel artwork. The top has the 'simple' logo and the four sides have 'Famous Fighters' ovals. Kit features flexible treads, tank commander and three ground troops, two rifles, rotating turret, elevating gun optional position top hatch and working tracks & wheels. It has never been started. Inventoried and NOTE: missing one very small part, a round rear tail light. Otherwise includes all other parts, decals and instructions.

Aurora King Tiger - Panzer VI Heavy Tank (Henschel Turret) - SS Panzer Divisions, 1/48, 064

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Sealed NM

$72

Still factory sealed. 1976 Aurora 1/48 armor issue with significantly improved molds. Near the end Aurora took the best kits and upgraded the molds for accuracy. Features Zimmerit anti-magnetic finish, working bogies and flexible tracks, opening hatches, tank commander, rotating turret, three troops and decals for six different SS Panzer groups including 5th and 9th SS Panzer.

Strombecker Convair Manned Lunar Reconnaissance Vehicle - by Krafft Ehricke, 1/91, D37-100

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc++

$295

Very rare 1950s kit. Strombecker issued a series of exotic space craft from Convair designer Krafft Ehricke and the Disney 'Man in Space' series between 1954 and 1956. This is the one that has not been reissued, making it hard to find. Large and interesting model has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. Decals and instructions are in amazing 'excellent++' condition, just like the box. This kit must be shipped insured.
