Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Sealed Exc

$115

Still factory sealed but the seal has several splits. Original issue Action Model from 1961. Features a unique system of landing gear operation: when you pull the prop outward and rotate it CCW, the landing gear retracts. Then pull it outward and rotate it CW, and the gear extends. Push the prop in, and it freewheels as normal. Other features include movable control surfaces, detailed cockpit, full decals, sliding canopy, bracing material and instructions for rigging. Molded in red, yellow, silver and clear.

Revell SMS Seeadler (Sea Eagle) German WWI Commerce Raider - With 'S' Cement, 1/232, H382-300

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Fair+

$95

Rare 1960 hardbox first issue with John Steel artwork. Includes a never-opened, mint tube of Revell 'Type S' Cement that is still wrapped in the factory soft paper protector. This is a kit of a fantastic subject -the famous WWI sailing commerce raider of Count Felix Von Luckner. Very well detailed kit for that time. Full hull kit is molded in gray, brown and black and includes rigging thread and full rigging instructions. The kit has never been started. All parts, glue and paperwork is still in the factory-sealed clear internal bag. NOTE: there is damage to the port hull half. The front 2" of the bow has cleanly broke off. The break is straight with no bending and the repair will be straight-forward. The SMS Seeadler was a unique WWI raider in that it was not designed to elude the British blockade and break out to sea...it was designed to pass right through the blockade within full view of the British before attacking allied shipping around the world. No detail was overlooked in the Seeadler's preparation, right down to a Norwegian-speaking crew. The plan went perfectly - and the Seeadler passed inspection at the British Blockade. Her non-threatening appearance helped her in an active and colorful raiding career that nearly went around the world. I highly recommend reading any of several books that you can find about this ship. Von Luckner himself became quite a celebrity for his exciting exploits.

Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. Lindberg is a company with a fascinating history The original 'Lindberg Line' stretches back to the 1930s when Paul Lindberg drew plans for famous modeling magazines and marketed his balsa wood 'stick and tissue' by urging dealers to carry the '...Complete Lindberg Line'. After the war, Lindberg and Olsen had a strong hand in early United States injection molded kit development. Please see the article located on this website about early USA plastic kit manufacturers.

$44

Lindberg always used up any old stock and never seemed to waste any boxes, parts, decals or instructions. Paul Lindberg's consistent year-to-year bottom line profits are testimony to this. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions present. Testors U-2 and SR-71A / SR-71B / CIA A-12/M-12, 1/48, 4055

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good-

$44

NOTE: builder kit only. Please read carefully. The U-2 is still factory sealed and includes very nice decals and HAWK instructions (this Testors kit is a reissue from Hawk molds). The SR-71 has been started and is missing one part. The cockpit has been built and installed, and the forward fuselage has been assembled (parts 7, 20 & 24) and both cockpit/rear canopy fairings. #16 and #17 have been glued to the rear fuselage. Four clear camera windows are neatly glued to the lower fuselage. NOTE: quality of assembly ranged from 'very good' to only 'good.' There are no gaps in the fuselage but there is some visible glue. The worst part is that the builder glued BOTH the SR-71 A and B rear cockpit/canopy fairings on - that is a mess. NOTE: missing nose gear strut. Otherwise inventoried with all other parts, decals and instructions present. I only recommend the SR-71 as a parts kit, hence the low price.
