Athearn Sante Fe ATSF F3A And F3B Freight Locomotives Genesis - HO Scale, 1/87, 0G2502B

Metal and Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: NM

$145

Superbly detailed Genesis issue powered A and B locomotives. Although in excellent condition, these have been run because I can see some wheel wear. They were run more than just a test run; however, they were not run very much as there are no other signs of wear and use. The "B" unit is in perfect physical condition. The "A" unit has one flaw - one horn is broken off, but that horn is present so you can repair it. Each is 100% complete and includes all three factory boxes (a box for each locomotive and the external sleeve for both those boxes), all the original factory black foam packing material and one Genesis "Owners Guide" with exploded parts diagram on the back. I have no way to test these locomotives so they are sold as-is.

Minicraft 1804 Trevithick The World's First Steam Locomotive, 1/38, 11102

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG+

$49

From ex-Entex molds. The world's first locomotive was the 1804 Trevithick. On February 13 of that year, Richard Trevithick's high pressure steam locomotive pulled five wagons carrying 10 tons of iron and 70 men on the Penydaren Tramroad from Methyr to Abercynon, Wales. The nine miles was covered in four hours and five minutes but much time was lost cutting down several trees and removing some large rocks. At times they reached the unheard of speed of five miles per hour! The performance won a 500 Pound wager for the train's owner, Mr. Samuel Homfrey and proved for once and for all that smooth steel wheels could obtain traction on a smooth iron rail. Until this day, conventional wisdom insisted that only geared wheels running on geared track would be able to pull any load up the slightest grade. The model is from 1996 but the molds pre-date that. Older but very nice kit that is well detailed and molded in wood brown, medium gray and black. Includes display stand. The kit has never been started. The plastic parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags; the metal parts have been inventoried and NOTE: missing one (round) shaft. Easily made from round stock. Includes instructions.

Balboa Rio Grande Southern (RGS) Galloping Goose Three Truck Freight Brass Locomotive HOn3 Narrow Gauge, 1/87

Metal Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good-

$175

Beautiful, like-new condition brass narrow gauge locomotive, hand-built in Japan by the renown Balboa Scale models. It is still wrapped in the original plastic and all three pieces of the factory foam are intact and in 'excellent+' condition. This model has always been carefully stored in the original box. There is the slightest bit of wheel wear at 14x magnification, so it appears it was test run at one point - probably at Balboa. I see no broken parts and no modifications; it looks factory-new. Also includes the correct fold-out blue Balboa instruction sheet and factory sealed Balboa/Champ decals for the RGS Galloping Goose. The box top and tray are complete but both have wear and stains, so they grade low. I have no narrow gauge track, so I am unable to test the locomotive, so it is sold "As Is."

West Side Model Co Brass HOn3 Class "A" Climax Horizontal Boiler Locomotive Nakamura Seimjitsu KK, 1/87

Metal Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG

$179

Beautiful, like-new condition brass narrow gauge locomotive, hand-built in Japan by the renown Nakamura Seimisu K.K. (marketed in the USA as Westside Models). It is still wrapped in the original plastic and all three pieces of the factory foam are intact and in excellent condition. This one-owner model has always been carefully stored in the original box. There is the slightest bit of wheel wear at 14x magnification, so it appears it was test run at one point but nothing more. I see no broken parts and no modifications; it looks factory-new. However, most of these came with a small firebox cover for the inside of the cab; this one does not have one. I have no narrow gauge track, so I am unable to test the locomotive, so it is sold "As Is." There is no paperwork present.
