Dated 1944. The Joe Ott desinged 'Bilt-A-Set' series was the height of the classic stick and tissue flying model kits not just in box art but in contents. The large wingpspan kits were the top of the Joe Ott line and had a price tag to match, which makes the kits harder to find today as fewer were produced. In a time when most kits came only with white tissue, printed wood and plans, the Bilt-A-Set line box came chock full of parts and features like Assembly Line jigs for straight fuselage and nacelles, Speedlok Clamps, Die cut plywood or balsa parts sheet, die cut cardstock sheets, colored tissue, color printed national markings, clear window material, fully illustrated instructions and more. This kit has never been started. Parts are still all in the sheets; none have been punched out. 100% complete - all sheets and accessories present.

Hard to find first issue from 1969. Mold quality is excellent as is typical with the first issue. (Molds become worn as reissued are made and detail becomes less crisp and flash appears.) This is the finest large scale injection molded kit of the legendary workhorse. Model actually comes apart and each sequence configuration of the Apollo Mission can be demonstrated with this model: Lift Off, 2nd stage, 3rd stage, separation, docking, lunar orbit, lunar module separation, lunar descent, lunar exploration, lunar lift-off, docking, starting for earth, separation, and reentry/recovery. It contains the LM, CM and SM, all removable from the top of an Apollo Saturn V rocket. The Gemini Spacecraft is a 9.5 inch model of the famous capsule and has complete interior detail. The Gemini Astronaut is 12 inches long. He is fully equipped and comes with a Gemini capsule display base. Never started. Inside, all kits are still in factory sealed bags. No glue or paint.
