The S-42 was first flown in 1934 and a total of 10 were built. This was the first Pan Am Clipper, and the world-wide exploits of the 10 S-42s made it a household name in the mid 1930s. 28 to 32 traveled in deluxe accommodations the resembled modern deluxe living rooms. Basic vac kit. Still sealed.

Very rare and the only model ever made of this aircraft. Designed for Air Ministry specification B.1/35 for a two-engined heavy bomber, the Warwick was to replace the Wellington and used the same sturdy geodetic 'basket weave' construction. However, the prototype orders were cancelled in 1936 to concentrate on four-engine bombers. Vickers completed two of the prototypes anyway. RAF Coastal Command liked what it saw and eventually 712 Warwicks were produced and used for transports, air-sea rescue, meteorological recon and anti-submarine work. One saw use as a BOAC Transport and the aircraft was used by the Air Forces of Poland and South Africa. The model features well molded vac parts with numerous injection molded details. Alternate parts are included to build prototype CIII, BI., ASR I, ASR (B Mod), GR V and GR II. With full decals for many aircraft including the BOAC version and large painting/markings guide sheet with many photos of actual aircraft. Includes sealed Warwick accessory pack which allows you to build two kits using the optional parts of the kit.

Beautiful and large French four-engined long-range flying boat from the 1930s. The 302 was the military development of the Latecoere 300 'Croix de Sud' civil flying boat, which is one of the most famous aircraft in French aviation history for it's transatlantic flights and mysterious disappearance without a trace. Basically the 302 was the 300 with increased wing dihedral and vertical tail area, more powerful engines, an extended cockpit enclosure and a crew of 8 instead of 4. (Experienced modelers have been known to make the 300 from this kit). Very high quality vac kit with many resin parts. Includes painting and marking guide. Unstarted and complete.

The success of the Latecoere 300 in the Brazil-Senegal (Dakar-Natal) Mail Run prompted the French Government and designers to produce the giant two-deck four engined 521 'Lieutenant de Vaisseau PARIS'. Powered by four Hispano-Suiza engines, she first flew in January of 1935 but sank at the mooring. She was raised and rebuilt and went on to set several payload-to-height records, proving a worth rival to the S-42 Pan Am Clipper. High quality vac kit with dozens of cast resin parts and dozens of injection molded parts. Drawing and full decals included.

French six-engined large military long-ranged flying boat from 1935. This aircraft furthered the successful design of the civil 521, which was developed from the famous 300. The few 523s saw service in ocean reconnaissance flights over the Atlantic from French Morocco in WWII. Very high quality vac kit with dozens of resin details and dozens of injection molded parts. Complete with full decals for three aircraft (Algol, Aldebarn and Altair) and drawings. Never started and complete.

Very rare early Estes logo boxed kit. The unique design of the rocket allowed the chute to be deployed out the top center and it made a soft, upright landing on the lowered landing gear, of which each has an independent suspension. Kit is unstarted and 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. Parts are still in the factory bag, which has been opened. Box is in very good condition with no tears or missing flaps.

Very rare first issue. This box art was only used for one year (or less) in 1957, then the more common 'ground' artwork was used till production ceased. Box is only 'good' with creasing and edge wear. Model has many interesting features including retracting landing gear, removable tail section and removable jet engine. Never started. Aircraft inventoried 100% complete with all parts in the correct high-gloss early issue light grey. No stand. Correct early instruction sheet and decals. NOTE: One fuselage 1/2 was cracked and repaired. Repair has excellent alignment and no gap, but some sanding of glue will be required to build a perfect kit.

The XF-11 was the metal structure version of the Hughes D-2 wooden high speed light-weight bomber design. It was very fast at 450 MPH and powered by two PW R-4360-31s. Delays plagued construction and the craft was not finished till after WWII. The project was canceled, but the USAAF paid for the two first aircraft. Hughes crashed the first one in 1948, and Hughes never built another aircraft. Very highly detailed resin kit. Still internally sealed. Complete with decals and instructions.
