1950s first issue and still the only injection molded 1/48 XF-88. Features movable controls, detailed ejection seat and pilot, scale jet engines with inspection hatch, full landing gear, optional wing tip tanks, full landing gear and a display stand. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. Lindberg is a company with a fascinating history The original 'Lindberg Line' stretches back to the 1930s when Paul Lindberg drew plans for famous modeling magazines and marketed his balsa wood 'stick and tissue' by urging dealers to carry the '...Complete Lindberg Line'. Rare original issue, not the common reissue. 1958 hardbox issue features interior and Bill Campbell artwork. The fuselage has a long flip-up panel to show full interior with all seats, bulkheads and even passengers. Also includes detailed landing gear, scale fuel truck, air conditioner truck and airport transport bus as well as full color BOAC decals and Mobilgas decals for the truck. This kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions.

First issue dated 1958 with 'Famous Fighters in the sunburst logo, Parents Magazine seal and classic Jo Kotula artwork. Molded in a stunning gloss deep burgundy and black. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. This model is part of a very successful 1/48 scale WWI series that Aurora started in 1956. They sold so well that they introduced new kits almost annually well into the 1960s. Some sold well right up until the end of Aurora in the mid 1970s.

Very rare first issue. This box art was only used for one year (or less) in 1957, then the more common 'ground' artwork was used till production ceased. A nice kit for that time, it features including retracting landing gear, removable tail section, detailed and removable jet engine, pilot, some cockpit detail and more. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts in the correct high-gloss early issue light grey. Features the correct 1st issue instructions showing the early stand, large rectangular-based stand and decal sheet correctly lacking the stand decal.

First issue hardbox dated 1957 with great Jo Kotula artwork. Please note the 69 cent price extension and oval 'Famous Fighters' sunburst logo. This is part of a popular and very successful series of 1/48 scale WWI aircraft that Aurora started in 1956 and added to well into the 1960s. Many of the line were in production right up until the demise of Aurora in the mid 1970s Molded in correct high-gloss olive drab and black plastic. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. Even includes the factory tissue packing paper. Please NOTE: this kit displays slightly better than the 'Very Good' rating but is graded as such because there is a 1/2" x 1/4" tape tear on the lower long side.

Often called the first 'Modern Airliner,' the successful Boeing 247 was one the earliest transports with all metal construction, retractable landing gear, de-icers and controllable pitch props. The model features two types of windshields, rubber tires, optional position landing gear and struts, full interior detail for two ships: long-range tanks and accessories for Col. Turner's MacRobertson Race Entry, and complete passenger seat interior for the United version. Colorful markings for Turners racer or the UAL ship shown on the cover. Never started.
