First issue from 1956 with Northern Lights logo. This was the only year with this logo, which was quickly replaced in 1957 with the famous oval 'Famous Fighters' version. I had never seen this kit in a factory sealed bag until now, so I took the precaution of doing a 'through the bag inventory'. The kit is 100% complete with all parts. Monogram Grumman Gulfhawk (F3F), 1/32, PA58-198

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG

Sold

Please read carefully - this is a builder kit only. First issue 'Four Star" kit dated 1960. This airplane is a civil F3F that was flown for Gulf Oil by the famous stunt pilot Al Williams. The kit has several action features: When you pull the prop outward and rotate it CCW, the landing gear retracts. Pull it outward and rotate it CW, and the gear extends. Push the prop in, and it freewheels as normal. Kit features a movable control surfaces, highly detailed cockpit, full decals including striping, sliding canopy, rigging material and instructions for rigging and is molded in clear, orange and silver. NOTE: this kit has been started. There has been no painting but the upper and lower wing halves, landing gear struts, and rear hinge plates have been assembled. The rudders have been glued to the instrument panel and the cockpit side panels have been glued to the fuselage side walls. Quality of assembly is professional. There are no gaps and no visible glue. The landing gear works perfectly. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions.

Revell Bell P-39 Airacobra With Swastika Kill Markings 'S' Issue, 1/45, H222-89

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG

Sold

1955 'S' first issue. This is the rare issue with Swastika Kill Markings on the box artwork. Richard Kishady did the famous painting for this kit and originally included German kill markings on the nose of the P-39. Very shortly after this, Revell began to export kits to Europe, but many European countries had banned the swastika. Revell changed the box art to Japanese kill markings, which made it legal to sell in those countries. Very nice kit for that time in near 1/48 scale. Features very fine recessed and raised panel lines, detailed pilot figure and optional position cockpit door and a belly drop tank. Molded in beautiful high-gloss olive drab and clear with the Revell 'Globe' base. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. Box would grade higher but it has a crease along the lower front.
