Large scale model that is very nicely molded kit and one of Aurora's later better kits. Full hull kit is 11 inches long when built and features very detailed hull planking and decoration, detailed deck and tower, individually molded oars and shields, two sails and 11 Roman Rowers, Tillers and Soldiers. Includes painting and rigging guide. The kit has never been started. NOTE: missing one of the original 12 figures and 1 rudder handle. Still factory sealed. This kit is of excellent quality with recessed panel line detail. The model includes all parts to make a KC-135 tanker, E-3A, C-135 or civil 707. Window blocks are included for the three military versions and decals are included for the KC-135 and E-3A. Decals were not included by Nitto for the C-135 or 707. Clear windows are included if you wish to make an early turbo-jet powered 707. This kit contains four clear engine nacelles and a clear fuselage panel. The cockpit is very well detailed with five crew stations, yokes, instrument panel, side panels, bulkhead and radar transmitter. There are four internal jet engines included as well. Also includes optional position crew entry doors, optional position cargo door and cargo floor (for the C-135), detailed wheel wells and more.

From the 1960s. One of a very popular 16.5 inch wingspan series of World War 2 stick and tissue flying kits. Includes die cut balsa parts, vacuform nose, wheels, plastic propeller, hardware, vacuform canopy, colored tissue, insignia and full size plans with detailed building instructions. The model has not been started. The parts are either in factory sealed bag(s) or inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. Guillow's founder, Paul K. Guillow, was a WWI naval aviator. In 1926 he began producing wooden model airplane kits. His 'Shelf Models' were some of the earlier non-flying models in production. Guillow's grew during the model boom of the 1930s, and when the Depression hit the hardest, Guillow's responded with lower prices and became one of the low price leaders, frequently advertising in Model Airplane News and other leading publications. During the war, like most manufacturers, Guillow's was forced to alternative materials such as cardboard and pine. Guillow's survived the post WWII slump by creating many inexpensive profile flying rubber powered aircraft and gliders in the 1950s (along with North Pacific) which became famous - some are still available today. The stick and tissue lines have been updated with laser cut parts and are still in production as of 2009.

Scale Flight Model Company in Bloomington, Indiana, USA was dedicated to releasing authentic reproductions of the finest "Dime Scale" flying model (stick and tissue) kits from the 1930s/40s. Dime Scale models used to sell for a dime in the 1930's, hence the name. They are actually box scale, but as a general guideline, they usually had a wingspan of 16 inches and have simple and light construction. "Dime Scale" models are now a class flown in some competitions. Kit consists of contest grade printwood, contest quality strip wood, machine cut balsa propeller, the best Japanese tissue, wooden wheels, competition bushed nose plug, brass thrust washers, prop shaft, prop freewheeler, FAI rubber strip motor and a copy of a genuine dime scale plan that was used in the 1930s-1940s. Rare original issue dated 1968. The hardbox is in remarkable, investment-grade 'near mint' condition. It has factory fresh gloss and color, four solid corners and no price tags or tape, no tape or tag marks, no edge wear and no litho damage. The original owner had carefully left the factory cello wrap on the box top when he opened the kit - it was splitting, so I removed it. Inside the kit is mint. Molded in bright orange, mint green and clear. This kit has a removable top and excellent interior detail. Decals grade 'very good' and instructions are as factory new. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts including decals and instructions.
