Pyro 1949 Ford Tudor Coupe, 1/32, C290-50

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good-

Sold

1960s Pyro issue from original molds. In the early to mid 1960s the Pyro company chose many of it's kit subjects based more on historical significance than popularity. Luckily for us, Pyro not only made these kits but did an excellent job for the time. The Pyro car models are based on the actual cars that Pyro engineers and designers had access to. This kit states on the side that it can be converted to model road racing (slot car). The model includes black injection molded parts, clear parts, detailed molded chassis and complete interior. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts and instructions.

Aurora Fokker D-VIII (DVIII) Flying Razor, 1/48, 135

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Sealed Good++

Sold

Still factory sealed but the seal is torn on the box side and the box has damage to the upper right corner. Dated 1959 and has the Parent's Seal. Nice early kit of the famous and dreaded 'Flying Razor' of WWI. The D-VIII had what it took to turn the tide in the air, but was introduced too late and in too few numbers to make a significant difference. Fantastic Jo Kotula artwork. This is part of the famous Aurora WWI series of 1/48 scale aircraft. The series began in 1956 and Aurora added new kits into the early 1960s. The line proved incredibly popular, so these kits were included in the 'mold upgrade' in the 1970s before Aurora went out of business.

Aurora The Silver Knight of Augsberg, 1/8, 471

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Fair

Sold

Classic and very popular Aurora knight kit from the original molds. This example is from the 1963 release from Aurora of Great Britain. Large 1/8 scale kit is molded gloss silver and has the original purple plume (an odd color). The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts, plume and excellent instructions. In the mid 1950s, Aurora bought three 'Knight' molds from Crown Plastics and issued them as K1, K2 and K3. These were the very first Aurora figure kits and they sported the 1956-only rectangular 'Northern Lights' logo with the correct 'Crown Line' logo inside it. The sales success of the Knight prompted Aurora to launch an entire line of figure kits. The knights themselves stayed in production long after many other figures were discontinued.
