Bandai Star Trek USS Enterprise NX-01 Starship Prepainted with Lights, 1/850, 0122721-6500

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc++

Sold

This is an amazing kit, please read carefully. All parts are precision and professionally painted. All hull shading, markings and details are perfectly duplicated. All markings (example: NX-01ENTERPRISE) are all painted also. The paint job is flawless and stunning and duplicates the Aztec pattern of the hull. Below is a detailed photo of just one of the dozens of factory painted parts . The hull windows, bridge, deflector and warp engines are lit internally with the included lighting kit. The amazing part is that the model is not just a light up but was actually designed from the ground up to be lit, so it has the following features: parts are molded in black plastic or have the inside surfaces painted so there is no light bleed through - there are numerous clear plastic light diffusers so the lighting is distributed evenly for a perfect effect. Where special effects are needed with lighting, such as the warp engines or navigational deflector, the pattern is molded into the clear piece and if needed, the clear is tinted blue, etc for the proper effect. The base holds the batteries. All parts are very carefully factory sealed so there are no scratches. The assembled model is 16 inches long. Never started. All items in original factory sealed. Complete.

Monogram F-51D Mustang Action Model (P-51), 1/32, PA77-198

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: NM-

Sold

First issue of this classic large-scale 'Action Model' in a near investment-quality box. Canopy opens and closes to show highly detailed cockpit. Tiny levers under the wings drop 2 bombs. Knob on the bottom rotates and extends/retracts main gear and tailwheel; all gear doors including tailwheel open and close automatically with the gear. Not only do these features sound great, but they work. My built kit is 30 years old and functions like new! Great detail. Never started. 100% inventoried complete with all parts/decals and instructions present. This kit has an interesting history. In 1961, Monogram introduced the 1/32 scale Phantom Mustang. This was a very ambitious project. The kit was transparent, highly detailed and included two electric motors. One motor raised and lowered the main gear and tail wheel while the other spun the prop. Two small levers on the base dropped bombs from the wings. It was molded in clear, silver, black, red and zinc chromate green. Although successful, the kit was expensive to produce and Monogram charged a hefty retail price of $4.98. As a way to create more revenue from the molds, Monogram cleverly created this kit - using some of the same molds as the Phantom Mustang. The silver parts tree was completely re-cut and does not match the Phantom version. The red stand, gears and motorizing features were simply left out and the model molded in solid colors. The gear retraction/extension features was retained, but not motorized. On the new silver parts tree they added a small knob (placed on the bottom of the wing) and the same for the bomb dropping mechanism. This lowered the price to $1.98 and this additional revenue hopefully helped pay down the original mold costs.
