First Revell issue dated 1953. Features two highly detailed horses, hitch, carriage with frame detail, flexible hose, rope and metal chain, along with two firefighters and a Dalmatian dog. Molded in the correct white, red and gold plastic. It has never been started and has been inventoried 100% complete with all parts and instructions. The American Firefighters series has a very interesting history. Marlin first cut the molds in 1952 and issued the six original American Firefighters (Chemical and Ladder, Steamer, Hook and Ladder, Water Tower, Aerial Ladder and Hose Reel) in 1952. Revell signed a marketing agreement with Marlin in 1953. Five of the kit were released with the Revell name and marketing name 'Collectors Kits, Closter N.J.' Revell added the horse parts as they were not originally part of the Marlin issues. The kits made excellent display pieces, but they never caught the imagination of young men like jet aircraft did. The five molds were shipped to Brazil. After run for Kikoler (Revell Brazil's Distributor), they were shipped back to the USA but the molds were lost at sea. This issue is from when Revell still had the marketing agreement, as it says 'Trade Mark Copyright 1953 Marlin Toy Co. Inc' on the box top and 'Collector's Kits, Inc, Closter, N.J.' on the side.

$110
Rare 1955 Revell model with the great box artwork that has made these kits so famous and collectible. This large-scale model features excellent detail for that time and almost all items shown in the box art - railings, grates, name boards, navigation lights, vents, whistles, bumpers, bitts and even two crew members. NOTE: this kit has minor, 'professional' quality subassembly as follows: cover to lifeboat; rudder & small mount (for the propeller) to the hull; lower superstructure (5 pieces, four walls and roof). There is no other assembly. Inventoried 100% complete and includes decals and instructions. The box rates only 'very good' because it has isolated and light age spotting as shown. The Long Beach was built in Decatur, Alabama in 1943 and was one of a fleet of tugs operated by the Wilmington Transportation Company. She had a registered length of 81.1 feet and a beam of 24 feet. Gross tonnage was 146 inches and she drew 8 feet of water. Powered by a 700 hp diesel, the range was just over 3,500 miles.

The flaws are edge and corner wear and light general wear. The model features a loading crane elevates and swivels 360 degrees & fully rigged with blocks and tackle, accurate simulation of the entire load-to-launching process with the trailer, truck, crane and launch pad, crew of 4, textured concrete base, missile launch pad, removable missile and more. Molded in correct white and olive drab. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. The decals are perfectly flat, intact and grade in remarkable 'near mint' condition with light age yellowing as the only flaw. The instructions are in 'excellent' condition with slight age yellowing.

Aircraft from the Oriskany waged the Navy's first all-jet dogfight over Korea against eight Migs. Well detailed and features a full hull, complete propeller and rudder detail, movable elevators and cranes, separately molded AA armament & gun directors, detailed island structure with radar/sensor suite and much more. Still factory sealed. 1994 re-release of the 1982 release- which itself is from the very popular 1960s original molds. Has many operational features including the V-2 missile with removable panel with full interior including fuel tanks, rocket engine and more, working launcher and transport trailer/erector and crew members. Please note that Revell lists this kit as 1/54 but I have noted it as 1/69 because the built missile measures 8" tall and the actual missile is 45.9 feet tall. That comes out to be 1/69.
