The box top displays well but is only rated 'good' and has general wear a shown, closed splits and some clear tape on 2 corners. The box tray is in the same condition but does not have tape on the corners. Inside, the kit is like factory new. The parts that were factory sealed are still factory sealed in the 'krinkle' bags and factory attached to the presentation cardboard. The parts that were never factory sealed are complete and in 'new' condition. All three plans are included and range from 'good' to 'excellent.' The presentation cardboard is 'very good++.' The original knife is present, but please note that the glue and dope are not present. Shipping insurance is required.

Rare and dates from the early 1950s. A fine example inside and out of the first issue with Lindberg 'Round' logo on all four side panels. Widely claimed to be the first science fiction model kit. Naturally, the scale is approximate. The box has 'very good' color and gloss. All four corners are solid and there is no fading, no price tags, and no tape or tape marks other than the factory sealing tape. The main parts are molded in silver, the 'alien pilot' in medium green and the dome in clear. Decals are 'excellent' with typical yellowing. Decals have the 'round' logo and the early 'small' format instructions have the rectangle logo - typical for Lindberg kits. The kit has never been started.
