It retains the original 1956 Jim Cox art but the square 'Northern Lights' logo has been replaced by the Sunburst 'Famous Fighters' oval. The price extension is 79 cents with factory applied stickers; it is very likely that the printing under them is 69 cent extensions. The third issue is identical except for a printed (not a sticker) 79 cent extension. This kit was Aurora's 6th 1/48 scale World War I aircraft model. All six original kits were released in 1956. Topping McDonnell F3H Demon - Factory Desk Top Model In The Original Topping Bo

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good

Sold

Incredibly rare, 1950s NOS Topping F3H Demon factory model untouched and still in the original box. Inside, all of the factory cardboard and tissue are still intact. The stand and aircraft were never displayed or used. The condition is 'factory new' for both the stand and aircraft, with brillant plastic color and gloss. While never used, please note that these models never left the factory in 'flawless' condition. There were always minor paint flaws and minor molding flaws as they were mass-produced. Furthermore, the canopies and decals inevitably have some yellowing, although this example has minimal yellowing, asyou can see. Because the original Topping box adds significantly to the value, it will be carefully packed into another box for shipping. Shipping insurance is required.

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG

Sold

SALE!! Includes all 3 kits in the boxes shown. NOTE: Sold AS-IS and not inventoried. This collector was very meticulous and of his kits that I did inventory, 95% are complete. But on these kits he cut the sprue (trees) with the part numbers still attached to each number, so the parts are loose. Because of that, I have not inventoried these kits. NOTE: he built minor and sometimes major sub assemblies to 'professional' quality. Again, these kits are sold not inventoried and AS IS hence the very low price.

Revell Vostok Russia's First Spacecraft, 1/24, H1844

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good

Sold

1969 original issue. Very large 1/24 scale. Well detailed kit of Major Yuri Gagarin's spacecraft. Features detachable crew compartment, ejection seat and Cosmonaut figure. Molded in metallic silver and clear and includes display stand. The kit has never been started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes instructions. Gagarin's flight was the first of 6 successful Vostok launches from the secret space center at Baikonur. Gagarin made one orbit in 108 minutes, which was enough to make him the first man in space. Titov followed in Vostok 2 and made 17 orbits. Other launches featured 4 mile passes in orbit, and Vostok 6 featured the first Woman Astronaut, Valentina Tereshkova. It is interesting that Vostok did not have attitude control for correct placement when re-entering the earth's atmosphere. The sphere was designed with the weight off-center, so it would automatically swing into position during the heat of reentry.
