Revell Sikorsky H-19 - 'S' Issue, 1/48, H227-98

First issue of this kit dated 1955 with 'S' boxart by Richard Kishady. The box has exceptional has like-new color and gloss, four solid corners and no price tag or tape marks other than the factory tape. But I have graded it 'Very Good++' because it has a litho tear on the top long side that is .5 x 1.5 inches. Kit features detailed cockpit and two pilots, rotating main and tail rotors, detailed engine and optional position clam-shell nose doors, winch and 'downed' pilot and clear Revell 'Globe' stand. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.

From older molds but nicely molded and detailed, like most Airfix ships. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. The large 45,270 ton Canberra was a famous post-WWII P&O ship from the final glory days of ocean liner travel. She was very innovative and it is said that never were so many new concepts pressed into service on one ship. She could carry a total of 3,199 passenger and crew and turn 27.4 knots with her powerful turbo-electric drive. Pressed into service as a troop transport during the Falklands war and nicknamed the 'Great White Whale', she could have been a prime target of the Argentine Air Forces but escaped damage.

Original Revell 'S' hardbox kit from 1956. Fantastic box art. Highly detailed and well molded model. Features deck guns, all masts and booms, barges and landing craft. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes flags, decals and instructions. The USS Randall was on of 57 Haskell Class Attack Transports built for service in and immediately after WWII. The ships were designed to carry troops close to the beachheads, transfer them to landing barges (carried on board) and to supervise the landing operations. Her length was 455 feet and she could handle 1,560 troops and carry 3000 tons of equipment. Through her colorful career she earned many awards. She had to tours in the Pacific including Iwo Jima and Okinawa. After the war she took part in 'Magic Carpet'. Her Hollywood career was in the movie 'Away All Boats' in which she played the Belinda'.

Type three logo issue from the 1960s. Includes colorful decals for Shell Oil Corporate Aircraft or RAF version. Very nicely detailed and molded kit. Features optional position cabin door, interior cockpit, pilots and rear bulkhead, separately molded rudder, elevators and ailerons, retractable landing gear, rotating propellers, boarding stairs and four nicely molded passengers. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. The Heron was the result of a larger and redesigned Dove and first flew in 1950. It's ability to operate from rough fields and ease of maintenance quickly make it a favorite for feeder and independent airlines in the UK and overseas. Heron IIs were also selected by the RAF for the Queens Flight, which is a statement to it's reliability and safety.

The Me-263 was designed to correct some of the Me-163s shortcomings. The ideas were tested on '163s before the first '263 airframe was assembled. Primary differences included lengthen fuselage for increased fuel capacity, pressurized cockpit, dual chamber (full and cruise) rocket engine, bubble canopy and retractable gear. Only two were built and it seems that she never flew under her own power. Never started. Factory sealed bag or inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions.

The AR-80 was Arado's entry to compete with the German Air Ministry's request for a new fighter to replace the existing He-51 and AR-68. The other aircraft in competition with the Ar-80 were the Fw-159, He-112 and Bf-109. Despite loosing to the '109, several were built for testing and other purposes.

From 1957. Jo Kotula artwork is in excellent condition. This is the first issue of this kit - please note 69 cent price extension and 'Famous Fighters' in the sunburst logo. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. This is part of the famous Aurora WWI series of 1/48 scale aircraft. The series began in 1956 and Aurora added new kits into the early 1960s. The line proved incredibly popular, so these kits were included in the 'mold upgrade' in the 1970s before Aurora went out of business.
