First issue of this kit dated 1955 with 'S' boxart by Richard Kishady. The box has exceptional has like-new color and gloss, four solid corners and no price tag or tape marks other than the factory tape. But I have graded it 'Very Good++' because it has a litho tear on the top long side that is .5 x 1.5 inches. Kit features detailed cockpit and two pilots, rotating main and tail rotors, detailed engine and optional position clam-shell nose doors, winch and 'downed' pilot and clear Revell 'Globe' stand. The large 45,270 ton Canberra was a famous post-WWII P&O ship from the final glory days of ocean liner travel. She was very innovative and it is said that never were so many new concepts pressed into service on one ship. She could carry a total of 3,199 passenger and crew and turn 27.4 knots with her powerful turbo-electric drive. Pressed into service as a troop transport during the Falklands war and nicknamed the 'Great White Whale', she could have been a prime target of the Argentine Air Forces but escaped damage.

Original Revell 'S' hardbox kit from 1956. Fantastic box art. Highly detailed and well molded model. Features deck guns, all masts and booms, barges and landing craft. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes flags, decals and instructions. The USS Randall was on of 57 Haskell Class Attack Transports built for service in and immediately after WWII. The ships were designed to carry troops close to the beachheads, transfer them to landing barges (carried on board) and to supervise the landing operations. Her length was 455 feet and she could handle 1,560 troops and carry 3000 tons of equipment. Through her colorful career she earned many awards. She had to tours in the Pacific including Iwo Jima and Okinawa. After the war she took part in 'Magic Carpet'. Her Hollywood career was in the movie 'Away All Boats' in which she played the Belinda'.

It's ability to operate from rough fields and ease of maintenance quickly make it a favorite for feeder and independent airlines in the UK and overseas. The Me-263 was designed to correct some of the Me-163s shortcomings. The ideas were tested on '163s before the first '263 airframe was assembled. Primary differences included lengthen fuselage for increased fuel capacity, pressurized cockpit, dual chamber (full and cruise) rocket engine, bubble canopy and retractable gear. From 1957. Jo Kotula artwork is in excellent condition. This is the first issue of this kit - please note 69 cent price extension and 'Famous Fighters' in the sunburst logo. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. This is part of the famous Aurora WWI series of 1/48 scale aircraft. The series began in 1956 and Aurora added new kits into the early 1960s. The line proved incredibly popular, so these kits were included in the 'mold upgrade' in the 1970s before Aurora went out of business.
