Rare early glossy box issue. Very well molded and detailed. The kit has never been started. Internal factory sealed bags including decals and instructions. As you may well know, AMT marketed Frog kits in the USA under the AMT-Frog label. Frog also marketed Hasegawa kits in the UK, but with no Hasegawa identification. What is even less well known are the Hasegawa kits marketed in Japan using Frog molds. This Fokker F-7B is one of those kits. The front logo does mention Frog in the lower left if you look closely.

Maircraft Taylorcraft Solid Wood Model Airplane, 1/48, S-17

Wood Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc+

Sold

Maircraft was originally founded in the early or mid 1930s by Gordon Christoph and went by the name Aircraft Model Company. The company produced a typical line of solid 'profile cut' kits that required the usual high talent levels for carving and finishing. A former Comet Model Airplane & Supply Co. salesman, Jack Mair, bought the company in the early 1940s and renamed it Maircraft. This company was one of the handful of solid kit producers who issued models in a consistent 1/48 scale during the 1930s and 1940s (others included Hawk and Dyna-Model). This lead to one of the most desirable and rare model kits ever produced in the USA - the wood/plastic 1/48 United DC-3 model issued immediately after World War 2. Other than the P-61 and a few other Maircraft offerings, most were simple kits that sold for the low price of about 35 cents and gave the owners many hours of pleasurable work. This kit features a full size plan with instructions steps, fuselage that is about 80% cut, profile cut parts, printwood and a small bag of details. The model has not been started. The parts are either in factory sealed bag(s) or inventoried 100% complete with all parts and instructions.

Airmodel Piaggio P.108 Italian Heavy Bomber, 1/72, AM-403

Vacuform Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc

Sold

Italy's 'Flying Fortress' was a large, attractive four engine bomber with the same full load weight as a B-17 with a top speed of 279 mph. Defensive armament was significant with 6 heavy and two light machines guns in powered, remote control and retractable turrets. The aircraft was well liked and featured excellent visibility, very docile handling and was very maneuverable. Kit features main vacuform parts of higher quality than many injection molded kits, all injection molded details, crystal clear canopies and full decals for the 'Bruno Mussolini' Squadron. Never started and inventoried 100% complete.

Aurora British SE-5 Scout, 1/48, 103-79

Rare box art version. Hardbox is dated 1960 and it appears that this box art was only issued for a few years. Molded in gloss olive drab and black, and even includes the original Aurora factory tissue packing paper. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions.

Monogram German WWII Sturmgeschuetz IV L/48 Assault Tank with Diorama Instructions, 1/32, 8220-0300

Still factory sealed. 1972 issue with optional "battle damaged" parts and desirable Diorama Instructions. Very nicely molded and detailed model elevating gun, working treads, bogies with spring action, extra helmets, jerry cans and tread links and a crew of two.

Renwal See-Thru SSBN 618 Thomas Jefferson Polaris Nuclear Submarine - With Clear Hull Half, 1/200, 653-298

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Fair++

Sold

Classic 1950s boxart at it's finest. Large 24 inch long kit with clear right half that is hinged to open. The Jefferson is the only Renwal submarine that has the clear hull half - all others have a gray hinged half. Heavily detailed interior and actual 'launching' Polaris missile from a spring loaded tube. The kit has never been started. The small parts that were factory internal bag sealed are still sealed, and the parts that Renwal never did internally seal - the large hull halves - are complete and not damaged. The clear side is in 'new' condition and I have wrapped it to prevent damage during shipping. Includes instructions, parts sheet and decals (still bagged sealed) in very good condition. Please note that shipping insurance is required for this model due to the clear hull half.

Revell Bell P-39 Airacobra 'S' Kit, 1/45, H222-89

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Mint

Sold

Early Revell 'S' kit from about 1955-56 in investment grade condition. The box is has brilliant color and gloss with no flaws. Oddly enough, there are not even any factory tape marks. This is the second issue of this kit which has Japanese kill markings on the nose of the aircraft in the artwork. Richard Kishady did the famous painting for this kit and originally included German kill markings on the nose of the P-39. Very shortly after this, Revell began to export kits to Europe. Shortly after World War II, many European countries banned the swastika. Revell changed the box art to Japanese kill markings, making the kit legal to sell in those countries. Never started. 100% inventoried complete with all parts/decals and instructions present. Inside, the kit has never been started and is complete. All small parts are still sealed in the factory bag. The decals are flat and have very little yellowing. The instructions are mint. It would be difficult to find a better example of this early kit.

Aurora Convair B-36 Peacemaker Giant Bomber, 1/333, 492-49

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG+

Sold

Second issue hardbox dated 1961 and with the Parents Magazine seal. Fantastic Jo Kotula artwork. Note the 'Famous Fighters' sunburst logo with the rectangular yellow background. In this second issue, Aurora took the previous box art, 'yellowed' out the logo, and placed the new logo in it. The next issue did not have the yellow rectangle. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions.

Aurora Avro CF-100 Canuck All-Weather Fighter, 1/67, 137-100

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Sealed VG+

Sold

Still factory sealed but the seal has drawn the box concave, primarily on the bottom. Fantastic Jo Kotula artwork. Box is dated 1960, but the oval logo without the 'Famous Fighters' and the 100 price extension would date this at about 1962 or slightly later.

Sterling Stinson Reliant SR-8 Gull Wing - 57 inch Wingspan Aircraft for RC, FS-33

Wood Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good

Sold

Very large and high quality kit with 57 9/16 inch wingspan. Designed for RC and .40 to .56 size engines, but easily converted to electric power. Features top grade die cut and numbered balsa parts, step by step full size plans with instructions, scale decals, linkage hardware, vacuform cowl, wheel pants, strut fairings, formed aluminum landing struts and much more. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including decals and instructions. Sterling was a famous manufacturer dating back to the 1930/40s flying model craze. Although they continued to produce kits for decades after the flying model slump following World War II, they eventually fell victim to the general lack of interest in modeling that occurred in the early 1980s. I always considered Sterling kits to be deluxe kits and they are still highly popular to this day.

Aurora AH-56A Cheyenne Copter - 1st Issue, 1/72, 502-130

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Fair

Sold

First issue hardbox from 1968. This is a kit from Aurora's excellent efforts of the late 1960s/early 1970s. Aurora knew that it's old molds were outclassed by the late 1960s and cut a new series of molds including several ships and helicopters. The molds were of much better quality, and this is one of those kits. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions.

Rare. Includes both kits in 'excellent' grade boxes. The Maserati kit is injection molded in red with a clear windshield and includes spoke wheels, real rubber tires, heavy duty motor and transmission, adjustable front steering, interior with driver figure and scale speeds up to 200 mph. Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG+

Sold

Early issue with a very glossy box top and dramatic artwork. This is one of the finest boxes I have ever seen of this huge kit, but there is still the damage shown at the bottom right. This is a very highly detailed kit that can be motorized (motor not included with kit). Features super detailed cockpit, full engine and engine compartment and firewall, removable cowling, rubber tires, separately molded elevators and ailerons, choice of two bomb loads (large centerline bomb or medium centerline bomb with 4 wing tip bombs, opening canopies, two positionable pilot figures, decals and paint guide for two aircraft and more. Never started. All the parts are still sealed the internal factory bags. Includes decals and instruction in excellent condition.
