From the 1940s. Excellent wooden kit featuring all parts cut to shape, completely finished wheels, clear windshield, genuine Army Khaki roof covering, sandpaper and much more. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes 5 view plan with instructions. This kit is an part of an extensive line of Austin-Craft kits produced during and immediately after World War 2. Austin Craft was founded and operated by Clyde Austin and his wife Vera. They created model kits of numerous popular WWII military vehicles as well as all sorts of transportation from the 'Old West' including Buckboards, Ranchito Carts, Covered Wagons, Stagecoaches and more.

Comet North American F-100 Super Sabre - 12.7 Inch Wingspan Flying Balsa Airplane - Coke Bottle Issue, R10-59

Rare. 1950s issue flying model with the box art showing a Coke next to the young builders snack plate and finished product. Kit features traditional wood/tissue construction with high quality printwood, stripwood, wooden stock as required, clear vacuform canopy, fully formed wheels, covering tissue and detailed full size plans/building instructions with notes on how to fly the model. The model has not been started. Inventoried complete. Comet was a famous manufacturer of stick and tissue flying and static models. In the 1930s Great Depression, they lead the low-priced kit revolution with the "Dime Scale" kits and famous advertisements in Model Airplane News magazine and others. Comet reached it's peak in the 1930s when they acquired the services of Carl Goldberg. Goldberg was a highly accomplished modeler with articles in Model Airplane News and famous designs that won him several National level competitions in the 1930s and beyond. (Carl Goldberg went on to found his own company and produced well designed and popular free-flight and RC aircraft). Comet survived the post World War economic slump and continued kit production until they were bought out by long-time competitor Guillow's in 1998.

Pyro US Civil War Navy 36 Pistol, 1/1, G208-150

Hardbox issue from about 1966. In addition to cars, ships, planes and figures, Pyro added an excellent line of well-known and not-so-well-known life-sized (1/1) scale pistol and rifle models to their line. In each case Pyro gained access to the actual weapon during the kit design, insuring a very accurate model. This is a full size model features minute gunsmith detailing, movable trigger, hammer and ramrod and is molded in a bluish/gunmetal colored plastic. The kit has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes instructions. NOTE: there is minor and neat assembly. Two parts (cylinder shaft halves) have been assembled to 'professional' quality. There is no other assembly. The Civil War Navy 36 was second only in popularity to the Western 44 1860 Army model. The 36 was known for its sturdy construction and reliability. It was a cap and ball type revolver and proved very popular among the early Western settlers and cowboys.

Hasegawa Grumman S2F-1 (S-2A) Tracker Hi-Vis Paint Scheme, 1/72, 1102

1970s issue and an superb kit for that time. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. Over 1000 Trackers were completed for the Navy as carrier-based submarine hunters. Grumman was awarded the contract in 1950, and in 1952 the first XS2F-1 flew. The large belly radome contained the PAS-38 search radar and the ASQ-10 MAD detector was in the tail. ALD-3 ECM performed DF (direction finding) duties, and the 70 million candle power spotlight lit up targets at night. Sonobuoys were held in both engine nacelles and offensive weapons included acoustic torpedoes, depth charges, rockets and conventional bombs. Trackers saw service in several other Navies including Canada.

Never started and inventoried 100% complete with all parts and paperwork present. Toms and GMM have excellent PE detail sets designed for this model. This kit played a major roll in fund-raising for the USS Arizona memorial and Revell donated a sizable amount to the construction.
