From the late 1950s or very early 1960s. Rare version hardbox box and Ray Gaedke artwork. This artwork is normally found on the Cellovision issue and shows the aircraft being serviced on the tarmac. This issue also includes a detailed 1/48 scale tractor with driver. Features movable control surfaces, retractable landing gear, scale engines with removable cowls, 'good' cockpit detail, crew members, full armament and more. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts decals and instructions present. 1970s reissue of the older kit. Features traditional stick and tissue construction, color insignia, fully finished wood wheels, rubber motor, hardware, tissue, plastic propeller and detailed full size plans/instructions. The model has not been started but the parts are punched out. Inventoried complete with all parts and instructions. Comet was a famous manufacturer of stick and tissue flying and static models. In the 1930s Great Depression, they lead the low-priced kit revolution with the "Dime Scale" kits and famous advertisements in Model Airplane News magazine and others. Comet reached it's peak in the 1930s when they acquired the services of Carl Goldberg. Goldberg was a highly accomplished modeler with articles in Model Airplane News and famous designs that won him several National level competitions in the 1930s and beyond. (Carl Goldberg went on to found his own company and produced well designed and popular free-flight and RC aircraft). Comet survived the post World War economic slump and continued kit production until they were bought out by long-time competitor Guillow's in 1998.

Amazing museum-quality, hand-built and factory painted model for the very discriminating collector. CMC quality it legendary and this model is no exception; most CMC models have between 700 and over 1000 parts and each is completely hand assembled. This model is in mint, complete condition and has always been kept in the original packing material and in the original box. It was only removed for photos. It is fully detailed inside and out, including places that cannot be seen once it was assembled and includes many working features. Includes the car, all the original packing styrofoam and the CMC white 'red printed' sheet on the outside of the foam. There is no other paperwork present or other items present.

Dated 1968 with the Mattel/Monogram logo. This kit is part of a very famous World War II action kit line that Monogram issued in 1/48 scale. Very nicely molded and features retractable landing gear, pilot and rotating props and wheels. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete including decals and instructions. This is probably the 4th issue of this kit. The 1st issue was the Four Star box, the second the "PA" Blue Box, the 3rd the Blue Box with both "PA" and "Four Digit" kit numbers and the 4th this one, Blue Box with the Mattel Logo, "Four Digit" part number only (no PA).
