1961 issue with fantastic framable John Steel artwork and a Master Modeler Stamp of this kit. Even includes the original booklet "The Voyage Of The HMS Beagle." This is a very well detailed model that measures 40 cm long when built (~16 inches). As with earlier Revell sailing ship kits, the moldings are fine and to scale. Includes rigging cord, preformed rat lines, vac billowing sails, colorful flag sheet and rigging instructions. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. The vac sails are in 'average' condition. There is general wear and one sail has three small holes in it.

1970s issue Comet deluxe flying model kit. Features 28 inch wingspan, rubber power or optional gas control line or Radio Control, a large number of plastic details such as cowling, radiator, machine gun, pilot and more. Also makes an nice large scale static model. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. Comet was a famous manufacturer of stick and tissue flying and static models. In the 1930s Great Depression, they lead the low-priced kit revolution with the "Dime Scale" kits and famous advertisements in Model Airplane News magazine and others. Comet reached it's peak in the 1930s when they acquired the services of Carl Goldberg. Goldberg was a highly accomplished modeler with articles in Model Airplane News and famous designs that won him several National level competitions in the 1930s and beyond. (Carl Goldberg went on to found his own company and produced well designed and popular free-flight and RC aircraft). Comet survived the post World War economic slump and continued kit production until they were bought out by long-time competitor Guillow's in 1998.

Dated 1957 but is actually the third issue with the 'ground' artwork and blue oval logo. This was a very nice kit for that time featuring 'good' cockpit detail, pilot figure, retractable landing gear, removable tail section and detailed jet engine. NOTE: this kit has minor and "professional" quality assembly as follows: the engine is built and the seat is glued to the cockpit floor. There is no other assembly and zero painting. At one time a bulkhead was lightly glued to a fuselage half with some body filler as weight (as this kit is a 'tail sitter.' But the bulkhead and filler have come out. There is no damage from this previous assembly. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions present.
