Third issue is dated 1967 and carries the Mattel logo. Possibly the finest injection molded model of the first aircraft to sustain powered, controlled flight. Features very good detail, full rigging instructions, figures of Orville and Wilbur Wright, monorail launching track with carrier dolly and historical accessories that were all present at the first flight: "C" clamp, bench, can, spade and starting battery. Molded in white, tan and with a clear stand. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes instructions.

Very rare and dated 1963. First and only Four-Star issue of this rare accessory for customizing and of Monogram's large 1/8 car kits or any other larger car kit. Includes one pair of M&H Racemaster Dragster 8:00-15 white sidewall drag slicks molded in a rubber-like plastic, hollow and flexible. The tires and their whitewalls are mint, as they left the factory. Never used and complete with instructions. The clear cellophane window on the back is in mint condition. In an attempt to make the superb but very expensive 1/8 car molds pay off, Monogram issued some parts separately as accessories for any larger car models. The entire line came out in 1963 and consisted of AK201-59 Six Carb Assembly, AK202-59 Oval Gas Tank, AK203-79 Drag Race Set, AK204-79 GMC Blower Set, AK205-79 Chrome Wheel Set, AK206-100 White Wall Drag Slicks and AK207-79 White Wall Tires. Sales were very weak because all of the 1/8 scale car kits were very expensive for that time, so and the line was discontinued.

Includes decals for "Night Take Off' piloted by Col. Charles Jordan, Commander, 58th Fighter bomber Wing, Korea, 1952 or 31st Fighter Escort Wing, SAC Command, Nouassuer Air Base, French Morocco during Operation Long Stride (August 1953).

Has markings for 'Night Blitz' London attacker H-4 of KG 55 'Griffin Squadron' in early 1941 and KOG 26 'Lion Squadron' which was relocated to Sicily in 1941 to attack shipping as an H-5 twin-torpedo bomber.

P-6 variants were in production for 10 years, a remarkable feat in a time when airframe/power plant technology was changing rapidly. Includes colorful markings from the 17th Pursuit Squadron in early 1930s, based at Selfridge Field, Michigan.
