1/700 scale waterline model that is highly detailed and finely molded. Never started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. The Kasuga Maru was one of a class of three Japanese ocean liners that were built for the Nippon Yusen K line. She was launched in September 1940 and saw very little or no service (accounts vary) as a transport before her conversion to the escort carrier Taiyo. Given the size and machinery of this class of liner, the IJN subsidized their construction and knew they would make fine escort carriers. The Taiyo went on to have a very active career. She was attacked many times and damaged several times. Taiyo was eventually sunk in a submarine attack in August 1944 with a heavy loss of life by the USS Rasher.

Very large 1/24 scale kit that is highly detailed. Features removable body panels showing complete Packard-Merlin engine and firewall, highly detailed cockpit with sliding canopy, retractable landing gear, moving control surfaces, detailed machine gun bays with removable panels and much more. The actual aircraft has never been started but NOTE: the pilot has been neatly built and painted to 'professional' quality. There is no other assembly or painting. The model has been inventoried 100% complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. NOTE: these fragile kits almost always suffer broken forward fuselage parts and this one is no exception. The fragile nose and engine frame on one fuselage is broken off; all parts are present and they fit back perfectly for a simple and straight-forward repair. Also, one tiny gear door hinge is a different color plastic; it is from the same model but an older issue.7

1970 issue of this large 1/32 scale model that is well detailed for that time. The box art aircraft is that of squadron leader RR Stanford-Tuck whose markings are included. This Battle of Britain version features detailed Rolls Royce Merlin engine, removable cowling, completely detailed cockpit, sliding canopy, pilot figure, rotating wheels and propeller, detailed gear wells and more. There is no assembly but NOTE: pilot's face is painted. There is no other painting. It has been inventoried 100% complete and includes decals and instructions. The box is only 'good' because there is clear tape on the corners and also along the bottom of the four sides.

1980 issue. This large 1/32 scale Starfighter can be built as the USAF 'C' or Canadian 'G' variant. Features good cockpit, detailed landing gear and gear wells, real rubber tires, cannon bay with Vulcan 20mm gun & optional position access door, tip tanks, AIM-7 Sparrow and AIM-9 Sidewinder air-to-air missiles, iron bomb load, choice of 'C' or 'G' nose pitot probes, refueling probe and more. Includes painting guide and decals for both aircraft. NOTE: this kit has very minor and 'professional' quality subassembly as follows: (2) bomb haves only. There is no other assembly. It has been inventoried complete with all parts present and includes decals and instructions. The aircraft 'Smoke II' took part in the Vietnam war, and here is the bio from Arizonawrecks.com - '1 August 1966, at the same time that Capt Kwortnik's flight was encountering intense ground fire, another flight of Starfighters was escorting F-105 Wild Weasels over Thai Nguyen when one of them suddenly turned into a ball of flame. This was assumed to be another SA-2 SAM hit, and the pilot Lt. Colonel Arthur Thomas Finney was posted as missing, later KIA (his remains were returned to the USA 14 August 1985). This aircraft had the nickname "Smoke II" on its nose.'

This MPC issue dates from the 1960s and is part of the 'Bonus' line that included extra features. The model features an optional clear disk for a rotating propeller, stock & customizing decals, clear modular display stand, folding wings, optional position speed/dive brakes and a very large loadout with rockets, drop tanks and bombs. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. The large and colorful decal sheet is in 'near mint' condition which is rare for any 1970s MPC aircraft decal sheet. Note that this issue still has 'Craft Master' under the MPC logo. Before this, MPC was marketing Airfix kits under the Craftmaster name in the USA. This continued for several issues and was finally discontinued although MPC continued to distribute Airfix and their own models.
