Original issue from 1967. River Assault Groups (RAG) were built by the French during the Indochina war. The US continued the tradition and RAGs patrolled the river and Mekong Delta during the conflict. Features elevating and rotating .30 and .50 caliber machine guns, one piece hull and display base. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. NOTE: the decals have bug damage to the backing paper only; however, the actual transfers are starting to lift and peel. They are in good enough condition to scan & reproduce (please see the two articles located on this website on how to do this).

Unusual 1/72 scale F-82F from an unknown Russian or USSR manufacturer. This is a well molded kit that includes very fine raised panel lines, injection molded clear canopies, full landing gear, drop tanks, underwing rockets and much more. Has decals for both aircraft on a very large and extensive sheet with red USAF markings and stencils, white and red national insignia, white and yellow stripes, white and yellow stars in three different sizes and more. This large, 1/50 scale late 1950s/early '60s Etendard IV features fine raised panel detail, cockpit, folding wings, working arresting gear, optional position landing gear and speed brakes and real rubber tires. Includes drop tanks and underwing weapons as well. This is the second issue of the very rare 'operating kit' of the Etendard IV. The original issue had automatic speed brakes and retractable landing gear. The model used a complex series of 6 cogs and gears with wire springs and twine to make functioning landing gear and speed brakes. When you lowered the arresting (tail) hook, the landing gear doors opened and the nose and main wheels extended. When you raised the arresting hook, the landing gear retracted and the doors closed. Furthermore, when you pulled out the parachute release at the tail, the speed brakes lowered. When you closed it, the speed brakes closed. Please note that although this model is from those molds, it does not have those action features - it only has the ones that I listed. Never started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. The decals are in amazing 'Excellent++' condition but the instructions have bug damage, mainly along the folds and edges. They are still perfectly useful for assembly purposes.

1995 Reissue from the same molds as the popular 'Four Star' kit. Features retracting landing gear, rotating wheels & propellers, three man crew, optional position crew door and two survivors in a life raft Never started and the part are either still in the factory sealed bag or inventoried complete. Includes decals and instructions. Decals and instructions are in remarkable 'near mint' condition. The Albatross was the primary sea rescue aircraft of the Aerospace Rescue and Recovery Service, a branch of MAC - Military Airlift Command. Operational service began in 1947 and Hu-16s saw wartime action in Vietnam.
