Very rare original issue hardbox kit from 1964; not a common reissue. This large and famous model features a large and detailed Kong holding 'The Girl' while his natural habitat jungle display vividly base demonstrates the Wrath of Kong with broken and trampled trees, lizards, snakes, etc. Inside, the kit is molded in the correct black plastic and all parts are in excellent, unbroken condition It has never been started. It has been inventoried 100% complete with all pieces. The instructions are in 'excellent+' condition with slight yellowing as the main flaw. Please note that the box has excellent color and gloss, four perfect corners, no tape or tape marks, no rips, tears, fading or stains but is only graded 'good' because there is a strong crease at the lower part of the "K" in King, the box sides are bowed out as shown and the lower box ('tray') has a deep 1/2" crease along the lower short side. Please note that this kit must be shipped insured.

Small scale kit with recessed panel lines, full landing gear and decals for Air France. The kit has never been started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. Dubena was a Czechoslovak model manufacturer in the mid 1970s. They issued a total of 14 kits; eight were originally issued in the 1960s as bagged model by a still-unknown Czech manufacturer. Dubena aquired the molds, added two of their own (TWA Constellation and SE-210 Caravelle), added boxes and marketed them in the mid 1970s. 10 of the kits were injection molded Airliners in 1/230, 1/245 and 1/249 scale; they were the Fokker F-27, Lockheed Electra, Convair 880, Caravelle, Comet IV, DC-7B, Boeing 707, TU-104, Convair 440 and Lockheed Constellation TWA. The last four kits issued were all military, ex-Boleslav vacuformed kits of the Yak-15, Yak-17. LaGG-3 and LaGG-5.

NOTE: bagged kit; there is no box. The box is shown for reference only. Limited issue injection-molded model kit with all fine recessed surface detail and a resin cockpit. There are only two injection molded XP-77s in this scale and this one is the best by far. Never started and the resin parts are still in the factory sealed bag; the pther parts have been inventoried complete and includes decals and instructions. The XP-77 was Bell's response to a possible shortage of light alloys after the war in the Pacific broke out in 1941. The P-77 had an estimated top speed of 410 mph with two 20mm cannons and two .50 caliber machine guns but weighed only 3,700 lbs due to wood construction. Production of 25 aircraft was authorized on May 16, 1942, but lack of superchargers reduced this order to 6. By the time the aircraft flew on April 1, 1944, the shortage of light metals had never been a major issue and other types offered superior performance.
