Rare 1955 issue and rare in this condition. The highly detailed model includes medicine wagon with detailed suspension and open rear platform, colorful decals for Doctor Brown's Snake Oil, two horses, Dr. Brown, one entertainer, an Indian, local man and a local woman with her young boy and girl. 'Miniature Masterpieces' was formed through an alliance of Lew Glaser (Revell) and Steve Adams (Adams Action Models) in 1953. Although the molds were made at Adams and it had the appearance of an independent company, the firm was run by Revell down to the prototypes being made at the Revell plant. Originally there was no evidence of the parent company on the surface. The State Coach of England was the first kit, issued in 1953. More kits of excellent quality followed. Revell completely took over the line in 1954 and in that year and the next, kits were labeled 'Revell' with a 'Miniature Masterpiece' label on the box top also.

Nisshin (also Nissin) was a Kasuga-class armored cruiser of the Imperial Japanese Navy, built in the first decade of the 20th century by Gio. Ansaldo & C., Sestri Ponente, Italy, where the type was known as the Giuseppe Garibaldi class. The ship was originally ordered by the Royal Italian Navy in 1901 as San Rocco and sold the next year to the Argentine Navy who renamed her Mariano Moreno during the Argentine–Chilean naval arms race, but the lessening of tensions with Chile and financial pressures caused the Argentinians to sell her before delivery. At that time tensions between the Empire of Japan and the Russian Empire were rising, and the ship was offered to both sides before she was purchased by the Japanese.Nisshin certainly found her correct home in the Japanese Navy, serving an active & career while successfully taking part in several battles. During the Russo-Japanese War of 1904–05, Nisshin participated in the Battle of the Yellow Sea and was damaged in the subsequent Battle of Tsushima. In addition, she frequently bombarded the defenses of Port Arthur. The ship played a limited role in World War I and was used to escort Allied convoys and search for German commerce raiders in the Indian Ocean and Australasia. In 1918, Nisshin was deployed to the Mediterranean and then escorted the surrendered German submarines allocated to Japan from Britain after the war. She became a training ship in 1927 and was sunk as a target ship in 1936. Her wreck was later refloated and used as a target again in 1942.

Very rare joint Lindberg-Necomisa issue that was made in Mexico; Lindberg shipped the molds down to Necomisa in the 1970s and the kits were made in Mexico. The model is originally from the early 1960s and the original Ray Gaedke artwork was wisely retained. The original molds were cut by Trim Model Products in the early to mid 1950s. Trim sold them in bags or in hardboxes, then sold the molds to Lindberg in the early 1960s. I have never seen a post-70s USA issue of this kit, so perhaps the molds remained in Mexico. Inside, the kit has never been started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and the instructions are on the back of the box along with a Necomisa full-color trading card for this aircraft.
Plastic Model Kit, Box Condition: Exc

Designed as a replacement for the A6M Reisen, the first A7M1 was completed in 1944. The fighter was well armed and had self sealing tank, hydraulically folding wings and a bullet proof windshield. The Navy, however, did not use the recommended engine, so the aircraft was under powered. The revised version with the MK9A was a complete success, but earthquakes, bombing raids and a prototype crash delayed the project till the end of the war. The actual model kit features very fine recessed panel lines, excellent cockpit, printed instrument panel, many brass photoetched details and more. Never started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions.
