Rare. These decals are 'excellent++' condition and have always been stored in a climate controlled residence. Includes paint and markings guide. On this website are two articles that fully explain how to save or reproduce older decals; please read read these before using any older model kit or aftermarket decals. Because USPS handles envelopes roughly, I will only ship decals in a box; so to save on shipping, order decals with model kits so they ship together.

Dates from the mid 1960s. This model is from high quality Frog molds. Features very fine raised panel lines, separately molded & positionable rudder, elevator and ailerons, pilot & gunner figure, detailed engines, rotating propellers & wheels and more. This kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. Box art is by the legendary Jo Kotula, who originally did 1930s covers for the magazine 'Model Airplane News' and later the Aurora box art of the late 1950s. Air Lines kits are all Frog molds that the Lines Brothers imported to the USA between 1964-1966. The kits, decals and instructions were made in England, then imported to the USA where Testors created the boxes with the colorful trading cards on the back. There are one or two trading cards on each box which show the boxart but not the advertising/logo. Some kits contain a Testors color painting guide also, but it is not specific to any model.
Plastic Model Kit, Box Condition: Sealed
$15
Very hard-to-find. Still factory sealed and from 1964. Few remember that Revell had a separate line of 1/24 scale Slot Car accessories that sold under the "Winner's Circle Speed Equipment" banner. Revell also packaged Goodyear tires in this same type package; there were other items as well and in both 1/24 and 1/32 scale. These Firestone Sponge Slicks have maximum traction and width and a Shore-hardness raing of 25 (super-soft).

These decals are 'mint' condition and have always been stored in a climate controlled residence. Includes paint and markings guide. On this website are two articles that fully explain how to save or reproduce older decals; please read read these before using any older model kit or aftermarket decals. Because the USPS clearly states that any flexible envelope will be bent 90 degrees or more in 2 inches, I cannot send decals in a flexible envelope. And any decal reinforced with cardboard will be greater than 1/4" thick, which USPS says must go as a normal box. There is no choice; because I will not knowingly send decals to destruction, they will only ship decals in a box. So to save on or eliminate shipping for decals, please order them with model kits or order enough of them to make boxing worth while.
Plastic Model Kit, Box Condition: Good++
$65
1971 issue of this very well detailed, large-scale kit. Features detailed helicopter, life boats, Captain's launch, movable gun turret, swiveling cranes, antennas and masts, full decals and color flag sheet. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including decals, flags sheet and instructions.
Plastic Model Kit, Box Condition: VG
$200
Very rare first issue Brooklyn kit from the early 1950. Molded in the correct light blue with little surface detail and no mass balances, pitot tube or landing gear struts, wheels and doors. Includes the correct rectangular clear stand for this issue. Decals and instructions are in excellent condition. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. The Aurora issues of the 1/48 scale P-38 are interesting to say the least. The first issue is the Brooklyn kit with the P-38/B-24 box artwork. Inside, the plastic is light blue with minimal surface detail and a clear canopy and rectangular stand that says 'Aurora Plastic Corp. Brooklyn, 4, N.Y.'. There are no landing gear, gear doors or mass balances. The second issue has identical box art, plastic color, decals and rectangular stand, but the box and instructions says 'West Hempstead' instead of Brooklyn. The clear stand mold has had 'Brooklyn' milled out, and there is no location on the stand. The third issue has the same artwork, but the full color 'Aurora Line' logo is used - but the big changes were on the inside. Aurora modified the molds, adding a pitot tube, elevator mass balances and landing gear struts, wheels and doors. The decals and stand remain the same, but the new instructions reflect the changes to the molds. This time the kit is molded in an attractive metallic blue. The fourth issue dropped the Jim Cox artwork in favor of a new P-38 flying from right to left across a threatening sky. The plastic still metallic light blue and the decals and stand remain unchanged. The new details were retained. The fifth issue was 1959. The oval 'Famous Fighters' logo was used with Jo Kotula artwork of two P-38s. The detail level of the kit remained the same, but it was molded in olive drab and clear. The newer 'Triangle' base was added at this time. Further issues kept this box artwork, but the oval logo changed as well as the price extensions.
Plastic Model Kit, Box Condition: VG++
$110
Rare 1959 first issue hardbox; please note the 'Famous Fighters' in the border of the oval 'Sunburst' logo. This is an excellent model for that time and features full hull with propeller and rudder detail, separately molded superstructures & upper decks, motor launches, rotating main turrets with elevating guns, separately molded secondary armament & AA guns, gun directors, cranes, searchlights and more. Includes a display stand and name plate. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts and instructions present.

Cardstock Paper Model Kit, Box Condition: Exc
$12
These decals are 'very good' condition and have always been stored in a climate controlled residence. Includes the markings & paint guide sheet. There is light age browning on the backing sheet as shown; I usually tape them up in a sunny window for a few days and that takes care of this. On this website are two articles that fully explain how to save or reproduce older decals; please read read these before using any older model kit or aftermarket decals. Because USPS handles envelopes roughly, I will only ship decals in a box; so to save on shipping, order decals with model kits so they ship together.
Plastic Model Kit, Box Condition: VG
$59
Rare Airfix Japan issue. Like the other Airfix ocean liners, this is a well detailed and finely molded kit. Features full hull, complete propeller & rudder detail, accurate multiple level decking, skylights, all ventilators, kingposts & booms, anchor crane, separately molded anchors, extensive molded-in deck detail (winches, cleats, etc.), separately rear docking bridge, separately molded davits and lifeboats and more. Includes a display stand. Never started and inventoried complete with all parts and includes full color flag sheet, decals and instructions. NOTE: two davits and two lifeboats are a slightly different shade of plastic; they are from an earlier issue of this same kit. The Mauretania and her sister Lusitania were considered the finest and most beautiful ships of the day, both inside and out. Launched in 1907, she quickly won the Blue Riband from the 'Kaiser Wilhelm II' for the fastest Atlantic crossing. For more than 22 years she was the Queen of the Atlantic liners. She saw extensive service in WWI as an armed cruiser, transport and hospital ship. In 1922 she was converted from coal to oil and set another record in 1931 when she crossed the Atlantic 4 times in one month. Sadly, she was scrapped in 1935 as the Queen Mary neared completion.
