This rare issue was is directly from the collection of the original owner, who purchased it in the very early 1960s. The Type 2 logo paper header is in 'Excellent' condition. Molded in the correct red plastic with a clear canopy & windows and the early, two-piece clear Airfix 'teardrop-base' stand. Never started and inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. However, NOTE: the clear bag is recent; it is not original. The original one was literally disintegrating. Airfix's second logo for plastic models is known among collectors as the 'Type Two' or 'T2' logo and was used from the late 1950s into the early 1960s.

This large-scale Invader is from all new molds features all fine recessed panel lines, excellent cockpit & crew stations, separately molded ailerons, trailing edge wing flaps, elevators & rudders, two complete & highly detailed engines with optional position access panels, detailed bomb bay, bomb load with optional position bay doors, detailed main and nose wheel bays, optional parts such as wing-mounted bombs, gun packs or drop tanks and more. Still factory sealed but the seal has a few small splits as shown. From the 1960s and the original Inpact molds. It is very well detailed for that time and features an excellent engine which is a small kit to itself, very good cockpit, very fine 'fabric' texture where the real aircraft was cloth covered and more. Usually molded in silver, clear and black plastic.

1960s Pyro hardbox issue from the quality original molds. In the early to mid 1960s the Pyro company chose many of its kit subjects based more on historical significance than popularity. Luckily for us, Pyro not only made these kits but did an excellent job for the time. The Pyro car models are based on the actual cars that Pyro engineers and designers had access to. This model is well molded and features full underside and chassis, spoked wheels and complete interior. Molded in dark green and clear. The box states that it can be converted to a 'road racing' or slot car. Never started. Inventoried complete with all parts, decals and instructions.
