Multimedia Model Kit, Box Condition: Exc
$48
From 1964 and issued pre-zip code. This kit is one in a series of true-scale horse-drawn vehicles. The scale is not given, but the kit is large scale - it has 3" diameter wheels and the wagon body measures about 7" inches long without the front wooden cross bar. With the bar it is approximately 12 to 13 inches long. Contains thick, die cut balsa wood parts, four injection molded spoke wheels, preformed wooden parts and metal parts, cloth material for the roof, realistic and to-scale fabric red fringe material for the lower roof edge and other parts has needed. Includes full text instructions that are heavily illustrated. Never started. The hardware and small parts are still in the factory sealed bag. The larger parts were never factory sealed and have been inventoried complete. With all paperwork. Country Lane made a fairly extensive line of wagon and Dutch Buggy models; all kits were to the same unknown scale and there was even a scale plastic horse & harness (sold separately) to go with them.

1960s reissue of this very popular Comet model, which was originally issued in the 1950s. This kit features traditional wood/tissue construction, quality printwood, factory-cut stripwood and sparts, wire rubber hook/propeller shaft, fully finished wood wheels and thrust button, clear canopy material, rubber, tissue, propeller and detailed full size plans with building instructions. The model has not been started. Inventoried 100% complete. Comet was a famous manufacturer of stick and tissue flying and static models. In the 1930s Great Depression, they lead the low-priced kit revolution with the "Dime Scale" kits and famous advertisements in Model Airplane News magazine and others. Comet reached it's peak in the 1930s when they acquired the services of Carl Goldberg. Goldberg was a highly accomplished modeler with articles in Model Airplane News and famous designs that won him several National level competitions in the 1930s and beyond. (Carl Goldberg went on to found his own company and produced well designed and popular free-flight and RC aircraft). Comet survived the post World War economic slump and continued kit production until they were bought out by long-time competitor Guillow's in 1998.

Well molded with recessed panel lines and includes injection molded canopy and decals. Never started and inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. Work began on the HS-132 as a jet powered replacement for all the current dive and ground attack bombers which could not function without complete air superiority. Using the experience from the HS123 and 129, Henschel created a simple design where the pilot lay prone to combat "G" forces. The prototype was almost complete when the Russians captured it in 1945.

Four were built, but the RLM never assigned any priority to the project. By that time, the jet-powered Me-262 showed more promise and work on the 309 was stopped.
