1970s reissue of the older and still very popular kit. Features traditional wood/tissue construction, quality printwood, stripwood, nose block & dowels, fully finished wood wheels and thrust button, clear canopy material, rubber, tissue, propeller and detailed full size plans with building instructions. The model has not been started. Inventoried 100% complete. Comet was a famous manufacturer of stick and tissue flying and static models. In the 1930s Great Depression, they lead the low-priced kit revolution with the "Dime Scale" kits and famous advertisements in Model Airplane News magazine and others. Comet reached it's peak in the 1930s when they acquired the services of Carl Goldberg. Goldberg was a highly accomplished modeler with articles in Model Airplane News and famous designs that won him several National level competitions in the 1930s and beyond. (Carl Goldberg went on to found his own company and produced well designed and popular free-flight and RC aircraft). Comet survived the post World War economic slump and continued kit production until they were bought out by long-time competitor Guillow's in 1998.

This kit is very well molded and features very fine surface detail, a clear canopy, full landing gear and a clear display stand with a name plate. This is a well detailed and molded kit from 1972. Features two types of engine cowls for Piaggio and Alfa Romeo powerplant versions, very cockpit and interior detail, two pilots, gun turrets that retract, rotate and have elevating guns, optional position crew doors, separately molded rudder, elevators and ailerons, rotating propellers and wheels, optional torpedo load-out and more. Includes full multi-view paint tuide and decals for two aircraft (camo and Pipistrello). The kit has never been started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. The SM 81 was an Italian bomber / torpedo bomber / transport in service from 1935 and 1945. It was derived from the MS 73 transport in 1934 and ordered into mass production following successful testing. The aircraft saw action in Eritrea/Ethiopia, Spain and Spanish Morocco, Libya, Albania, Italy and East Africa. Some even saw action in the Italian and Finnish Air Forces after WWII.

Rare very early issue from 1956 with Northern Lights logo and the 69 cent price circle on the right of the box top. What is most unusual is that the price is within a red-filled circle; this is the first instance of this that I have seen. Just when you think you have Aurora's kit history figured out, they throw you another curve ball! Molded in the correct glossy dark green and black. Decals and instructions are correct for the first issue as well. There is no assembly but NOTE: the outlines of the Maltese crosses have been painted on the wings and fuselage. You can remove this paint with any safe plastic paint stripper - I personally like spray-on oven cleaner. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions present.

Very rare and early MPC kit with the old logo. Of the Gangbusters series, this Roadster is much more difficult to find than the more common Phaeton. Highly detailed with well over 150 parts and features optional parts and decals for all three versions, rolling frame construction just like the actual automobile, detailed flat-head V-8, hinged, opening hood, side-mount spare tires, steerable front wheels, wire wheels, rubber tires with wide whitewall inserts, opening rumble seat, interchangeable convertible top and boot, optional trunk, Gangster and Gun Moll figures, bullet-riddled windshield and radiator, arsenal of weapons, violin case, bootleg bottles and cases, secret weapons compartment and more. Never started. It has been inventoried and the actual car and accessories are complete but NOTE: missing (1) ankle/foot of the lady figure. Otherwise complete with all other parts present.
