1987 reissue of the original 1967 kit. Very nicely done kit. Features 20 SBDs, 20" long hull, movable cranes and optional position elevators. The box art shows the wartime finish, but the kit contains decals for this or the prewar high-vis finish. The kit has never been started. Inside it is still factory bag sealed and includes decals and instructions. The Yorktown was one of three prewar sister carriers along with Enterprise (CV-6) and Hornet (CV-8). The Yorktown saw extensive action in the Coral Sea and underwent temporary repairs in record time so she could take part in the Battle of Midway. Damaged by bombs and eventually a spread of submarine-fired 'Long Lance' torpedoes, she was lost after an epic struggle to save the ship.

1969 two-piece box issue utilizing the original Ray Gaedke artwork from the 1950s issue. This very nicely molded kit features pilot, basic cockpit, good engine detail, rotating propeller and wheels and even rigging photos for spreader bars and wire placements. Never started. The actual airplane is inventoried complete with all parts, decals and instructions but NOTE: the stand is missing the short length of aluminum wire. Lindberg is a company with a fascinating history The original 'Lindberg Line' stretches back to the 1930s when Paul Lindberg drew plans for famous modeling magazines and marketed his balsa wood 'stick and tissue' by urging dealers to carry the '...Complete Lindberg Line'. Features detailed 348 CID 'W Block' engine and engine compartment, opening hood, complete interior, opening doors, underside details and much more. Molded in white, clear, red-tinted clear, chrome plate and with rubber tires. Never started. The parts that were factory sealed are still in the factory sealed bag. The parts that were never factory sealed (chrome & clear) have been inventoried and NOTE: missing (1) back up light. Otherwise complete. Includes decals and instructions.
