Rare and still the only 1/72 model ever made of this subject. The BM-1 was the follow-on to the Martin T4M as the XT5M-1. The BM-1 and BM-2 were externally identical and 32 of each were produced. They remained in front line service until 1937. Some remained in the utility role until 1940 when the last ones were scrapped. Esoteric was known for making perhaps the finest vacuform kits in this scale. The white vac parts are superb and are of higher quality than some injection molded kits. Every part needed to complete the kit is included - down to the interior. Features optional decals & paint guide for the BM-1 or BM-2, all parts required for construction, very good cockpit, metal details and extruded strut material. Never started. The small parts are still in the factory sealed bag; the white vac parts are uncut, untouched and 100% complete. Includes decals and excellent instructions. NOTE: missing the two tiny 'speedbird' decals. The decals are otherwise complete.

Dated 1996 and a fine model which features a full racing chassis, detailed blown big-block engine, lift-up body, racing cockpit with roll bar, wheelie bars, lift-off body and much more. Includes very colorful decals. Molded in white plastic, clear, chrome plate and with rubber tires. The kit has never been started. The parts that were factory sealed are still in the sealed bags. The parts that were not factory sealed (chrome and clear) have been inventoried complete including decals and instructions.

Very rare and almost impossible to find in this condition - mint and still sealed in the original factory bag. This and the earliest Microscale decals say "Mfg. By Martin Kransel Studio Culver city, Calif." and have the unique font shown at the top. Also, these and the other earliest Microscale decals did not include a paint and markings guide because the markings were generic. These decals came from an extraordinary collector. His kits stash started at the early 1930s (wood) and continued up through the 1970s. He also collected accessories as far back as the 1930s, including metal aftermarket details for solid wooden aircraft and aftermarket decals for stick-and-tissue models from the 1930s forward; it was only natural that he would also collect decals for his extensive plastic model kits. These have always been stored in a climate controlled residence. Still factory sealed. Large scale, well detailed kit from the late 1960s or early 1970s. Can be flown rubber free flight, gas free flight, or converted to electric RC using modern small and light servos and receivers. Well detailed with scale plastic wheels, plastic propeller, vacuform nose/cowl and engine, full color decals, tissue, die cut balsa parts, rubber motor, plywood firewall, illustrated, detailed instructions and excellent full size plans. Guillow's founder, Paul K. Guillow, was a WWI naval aviator. In 1926 he began producing wooden model airplane kits. His 'Shelf Models' were some of the earlier non-flying models in production. Guillow's grew during the model boom of the 1930s, and when the Depression hit the hardest, Guillow's responded with lower prices and became one of the low price leaders, frequently advertising in Model Airplane News and other leading publications. During the war, like most manufacturers, Guillow's was forced to alternative materials such as cardboard and pine. Guillow's survived the post WWII slump by creating many inexpensive profile flying rubber powered aircraft and gliders in the 1950s (along with North Pacific) which became famous - some are still available today. The stick and tissue lines have been updated with laser cut parts and are still in production as of 2009.

1950s first issue of the legendary kit. Made from wood and designed for electric or gas R/C operation. She measures 55.5 inches long when assembled and is highly detailed. There is a great amount of prefabricattion with parts from plywood, high grade balsa and other woods. Most parts are cleanly die-cut to shape. Solid pieces, such as 5 inch turrets, hull sections, smoke stacks and many more are factory pre-cut to shape. Includes full-size plans, instructions, running hardware, additional R/C instructions, flag sheet and decals. The kit has never been started. Inside, the parts have not been punched and are in the original sheets (NOTE: Some may come loose in shipping) Inventoried complete with all parts, instructions and decals present.
