1964 hardbox issue with Bill Campbell artwork. This is a well detailed kit of the famous 1930s racing aircraft and features fine, recessed panel lines, nicely detailed engine, removable cowling, pilot figure, rigging diagrams and more. Molded in bright red and clear plastic. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. In 1929 at the National Air Races in Cleveland, the Wright Whirlwind powered Travel Air and the pilot Doug Davis beat the finest Army and Navy pilots to win the first presentation of the legendary Thompson Trophy. The ship was designed in such secrecy that it was known as the 'Mystery Ship.'

1968 Chrome Plated version with John Andrews artwork. The chrome plating is in 'average' condition. Well detailed model for that time with full cockpit for pilot and observer, rear gun and spare ammo casings, opening canopy, detailed engine and optional bomb load. All clear protection sleeves are still intact and the parts are well protected and separated for safe shipment. Never started. Inventoried and NOTE: missing (1) small part, the propeller retainer (does not show when assembled and easily made). Otherwise complete with all other parts, decals and instructions present.

1999 reissue of the 'Four Star' kit from 1958. This model has all of the original issue action features: wings fold properly as on the real aircraft, landing gear retracts, bomb bay doors open and torpedo drops, machine gun rotates and elevates, rotating propeller & wheels and more. Includes four airmen. Molded in dark blue and clear. The kit has never been started. The parts that were factory sealed are still in the sealed bags. The parts that were not factory sealed have been inventoried complete including decals and instructions.

Original issue 'S' kit from 1956. Features pilot and ejection seat, wing tip in the folded or flight position, full landing gear and detail main gear wells and more. Molded in the correct light gray and clear and includes the famous clear Revell 'Globe' swivel display stand. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions present. The decals are flat and 100% intact but NOTE that the national insignia have typical age micro-cracking.
