1973 reissue of the 'Four Star' kit from 1958. This is one of two known artwork layout variations and the rarer of both. Very, Very Rare. Early, colorful issue from the late 1950s. The kit is dated by the 'Sanwa Plastic' logo, which was normally used in the late 1950s up to 1960. Very nicely detailed for that time with fine (and sparse, not overdone) surface detail, opening bomb bay doors, working ailerons, elevators and rudder, rotating propellers and full landing gear. Molded in gloss dark green, black and clear. Includes factory glue tube. Inside, the model is factory new - all the parts and decals are still in the factory sealed clear bags. The decals are flat and in amazing 'near mint+' condition and the instructions in 'near mint' condition. Sanwa was one of Japan's earliest post-WWII kit producers, making model kits in the 1950s; some sources say 1955. Kits were marketed under Sanwa and Tokyo Plamo, with the general consensus being the the later logo came out around 1960 or later. Production ended in 1964, making all Sanwa kits rare and collectible. The entire line was extensive. It included very small scale tanks (some that were motorized), battleships in three scales with the larger ones motorized with dual prop drive, slot cars, civil sport boats and an electric outboard, a full line of hand gun models that actually shot plastic bullets, two fighter groups and bomber groups (probably Monogram), several different lines of scale aircraft, missile kits, scale (static) car models of early Japanese automobiles, at least 7 flying model aircraft that had electric and rubber motors, a 'Super Control Stand' P-51 that moved with a joystick and had an electric propeller and sound unit, two different lighthouses and a windmill, an air cushion boat, motor cycles, a diving submarine (electric) and a working (rubber band) George Washington Class SSBN and even a garden tractor with an electric motor. Just before going out of business, Sanwa issued some kits in conjunction with the 1964 Tokyo Olympic games - these kits even included a copy of an Olympic medal.

Rare. This is NOS (New Old Stock) from a hobby shop that closed down in about 1994; you would be the first owner of this model. Never started. Inside, the kit is exactly as it left the factory. It has been inventoried complete. Includes all paperwork. NOTE: this kit came in a very sturdy and thick cardboard box. It will ship in that box wrapped in thick brown paper. Rare. Still factory sealed and rare; the seal has shrunk slightly and drawn the box top slightly cocnave. This is the A. Kikoler issue which was made in Brazil. Kikoler was especially active in the modeling field and as a jobber for Revell; so much so that Revell would regularly ship molds to Brazil and Kikoler would send them back when production was complete. The kit is from the same molds and uses the same box art as the famous Pre 'S' issue.

This the very large wingspan P-47D Razorback in the Bind-N-Fly version; all you need is a compatible transmitter, some assembly and you are in the air in almost no time at all. This model kit is brand new. The box has been opened, but absolutely nothing was removed from the box. Inside, everything is exactly as it left the factory - stapled or taped into place and factory bagged. Payment is due before pickup. Payment by money order from the US Post Office or grocery/convenience store will be ready to pick up within 7 days of receipt of payment. Payment by all other forms requires a 14 business day waiting period before pick up.

In the 1960s Park issued the 'Born Losers' series. This is the Napoleon kit issued in the plain white box with "Napoleon" rubber stamped on one short end. The model shows a cartoon-like Napoleon with a tear in his eye, standing on a bridge with a sign pointing to "WATERLOO." A severed hand is reaching up from the water to claim him. Nearby rests his tomb stone, a beat up cannon and a tattered flag. Never started. Inventoried and 100% complete with all parts and the correct (sanitized) instructions. The story of the Born Losers is a classic in model kit history. The 'Hitler' one is the most infamous. The model features a display base showing the outside of the "The Bunker." Around it are reminders of WWII - a damaged panzer, a wrecked Luftwaffe aircraft, gun ports, a severed hand rising up from the ground (to claim Der Fuhrer), a damaged flag and of course a tombstone saying "Adolf Hitler History's Greatest Loser." The figure itself is done in a comic-like sense and has Hitler in a tattered uniform holding a gun to his head. Parents were outraged by this and the Aurora Horror Kits of the time. The public outcry was responsible for a very short production run of some of the monsters. Park's problems with these kits was a bit more complex. They had designed the series during the monster and figure craze and was betting on the success of the product. Many units were produced; great box art was commissioned, boxes made and instructions printed up but then came the public 'revolution.' Park found them almost impossible to sell and the box art, which accurately depicted the completed models only made the situation worse. As they were, no reputable retailer would dare to sell them. This is why you can find these kits in three different 'formats' today: the rarest is in the original and colorful box with full artwork. But since they became unsellable, this lead to some ingenious ways of off-loading the stock and the other two formats. The most common was to put the kit in a bag, remove any mention of 'Park' from the instructions and dump them on any retailer who would buy them. The least common way was more retailer-friendly: Park bought some plain white boxes and used a rubber stamp to denote the contents - either 'Castro', 'Hitler' and 'Napoleon.' And that was all that the white box had on it: no illustrations & no mention of Park Plastics or anything else. Inside, there was the bagged kit with the fully sanitized instructions. This is one of those issues.

Because the USPS clearly states that any flexible envelope will be bent 90 degrees or more within 2 inches due to automatic sorting machines, I cannot send decals in a flexible envelope. And any decal reinforced with cardboard will be equal to or greater than 1/4" thick, which USPS says must go at the normal 'box' rate. There is no choice; because I will not knowingly send decals to destruction, they will only ship in a box. So to eliminate or save significantly on shipping charges, please order them with model kits. Likewise, if you only purchase decals, try to order enough decals make the shipping cost (per sheet) worth while.

Rare. Very nicely molded smaller scale V-1 and V-2 with launcher and trailer. The V-2 can be displayed ready to launch or stowed for travel. The V-1 is molded in red, while the V-2 rocket is molded in white and the launcher/trailer in swirl brown. There is a clear stand for the V-1. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. The box displays slightly better than the 'good+' rating but is graded as such because there is a 1 x 1/2 inch tape tear on the long lower side.

Hard-to-find 1969 release. This is the reissue of Monogram's rare 1959 Four Star issue 'Missile Arsenal.' Monogram updated the model by adding some missiles (such as the Spartan and Sprint ABMs) and deleting older ones. Also includes the updated 'Know Your Missiles' foldout booklet with photos and descriptions of each missile. Features all 36 missiles to the same scale, blue display base with engraved missiles names, locations for all missiles (as shown on the box art), two scale figures and a very extensive decal sheet that is in remarkable 'Excellent+++' condition. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete with all pieces, decals, instructions present; also includes the 'Know The Missiles' booklet and a Monogram 'Pocket Hobby Catalog.'
