1958 'S' issue with incredible box art in 'near mint-' condition. Color and gloss are like new. All four corners are solid and there are no repairs, no price tags, fading or even wrinkles & creases. The only flaws are very light and isolated shelf wear and a 1/2" closed tear on the upper left side (at the factory sealing tape). This model is well detailed and molded for that time and features incredibly fine all-recessed panel lines and rivets, moving wing flaps, ailerons, elevators and rudder, detailed landing gear, optional opened or closed speed brakes with well detail, a full crew as well as a guard figure. Molded in the correct gloss silver and clear. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including decals and instructions, which are both in 'excellent' condition.

Superb kit from the 1950s and makes a very impressive display when built. This highly prefabricated model made from solid Western Pine - not balsa wood. Features completely precarved fuselage, wings, engine nacelles & tail feathers, ready to install propellers, full landing gear and even wood filler, glue, and sandpaper. With detailed instructions and drawings with aircraft history and a large, colorful American Airlines decal sheet in amazing "Near Mint" condition. Never started and complete with all parts and plans. Before plastic kits were introduced, Strombecker was famous as the premier hardwood preshaped model manufacturer. In the 1940s and 1950s, Strombecker kits were flawlessly engineered but not inexpensive. All wooden parts are hardwood and are precarved to shape - usually only a quick sanding would finish them.

There were many Gulfhawks through the years that amazed millions of spectators, but two of the most famous were the F3F Biplane and the F8F Bearcat.

Very Rare. Date unknown but is likely from the late 1930s or early 1940s. This excellent pre-fabricated hardwood kit is large and very highly detailed for that time and features pre-cut and shaped hardwood parts, completely finished and machined wheels, beautifully turned gun barrel that is one foot long, sandpaper, CASCO glue, small parts envelope and two pages (front and back of one) of text and highly illustrated instructions. Never started and inventoried complete with all parts.

The RC10 needs little introduction. It's introduction by Team Associated took the RC car world by storm and it won more National and World Championships than any other RC car. Team Associated won a combined 8 IFMAR World Championships in 1/10, 1/12 and 1/8 scale competition; no other manufacture had won more than two. This is the "Championship Edition" which was the latest racing version (at that time). This is a one-owner kit from a long-time collection. The box is in 'excellent' condition which is rare. Inside, it is exactly as it left the factory. It has never been started. Everything that was originally sealed at the factory is still in the factory sealed bags.
