Very finely molded and highly detailed waterline model. This model includes the 8" gun turrets. It also includes US Navy WWII aircraft with their own decals. Never started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. Originally designed and laid down as a battle cruiser, the Lexington was converted to the 2nd aircraft carrier in the US Navy. Her battlecruiser speed was legendary and the four twin 8 inch turrets made her 'The Largest Heavy Cruiser Afloat.' After absorbing a great deal of battle damage in the Coral Sea in 1942, the Lady Lex had to be abandoned due to internal avgas explosions after the battle. The fully enclosed hanger deck, which was unique at the time, may have contributed to the fume build up.

This waterline model is cast in high-definition resin and has higher quality detail than injection molded kits in the same scale. Never started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes instructions. The Lupo class is a sucessful class of frigates built by Cantieri Navali Riuniti (CNR) for the Italian Navy. Designed as multipurpose warships with an emphasis on anti-surface warfare (ASuW), they have enjoyed some success in the export market, being acquired by the navies of Peru and Venezuela. A small run of a slightly updated version is known as the Soldati class.
