Plastic Model Kit, Box Condition: Sealed Good
$545
This is a factory-sealed case of 12 Hobby-XV-3 model kits from the 1950s. Hobby-Time shipped them to the address on the box, and I purchased them from the man at that address. The case has never been opened and is still securely sealed top and bottom with the factory tape. The box is in 'excellent' condition. The actual model kits (12 inside the case!) are the one and only issue of this amazing aircraft. This is a very nice kit for that time with fine raised panel lines, interior detail and molded in gloss silver and clear.
Plastic Model Kit, Box Condition: Exc++

Dated 1960. The box is in beautiful 'Excellent++' condition. The only flaws are very light wear marks and the scratch in the B-17 at engine #3. Notice the 'Sunburst' logo with no 'Famous Fighters' in the oval, which dates this kit closer to the mid 1960s. Molded in black and clear with the clear triangular 'globe' display stand. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. The decals are in amazing 'near mint' condition with the only flaw being very slight yellowing. The instructions are in 'excellent' condition with typical yellowing and very slight edge wear.

First issue from 1957. This model includes a sealed metal tube of very colorful Revell "S" Cement in great condition. The model is very well detailed and molded like most early Revell sailing ships. Features full hull with display stand, detailed deck fittings and houses, separately masts and yards arms, separately molded belaying pins, excellent deadeye assemblies, lifeboats, Revell's superb preformed rat lines, rigging instructions, rigging material and vacuform billowing sails. The sails are in amazing 'mint' condition. Molded in three colors - white, light wood tan and dark brown wood. Never started. Inventoried complete with all parts, decals, flags, rigging material and instructions present. Instructions and decals are both in 'excellent+' condition. Please NOTE: these issues. The box top has a 1.75" long tape tear at the lower right as shown in the photo; part #82 davit is broken but the parts are present and fit back perfectly; the propeller has one blade broken off and that blade is missing. The 295' bark rigged sailing ship was built in 1936 in Bremerhaven, Germany, for the German Navy. It was originally named Horst Vessel. The vessel was acquired in 1946 as a World War II war reparation. The ship was named the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Eagle, and has been used ever since as a training ship for future U.S. Coast Guard Officers. Eagle is based in New London, Connecticut.

Very rare item for the advanced collector. This item was from the estate of Dave Cockrum, the world-famous Aurora box artist, sculpture and kit designer. However, he is even more famous for his long history with DC and Marvel Comics. When working at Aurora, Dave had access to 'The Room'. In it were test shots from almost every Aurora kit ever made; employees were welcome to come in and take a kit when they pleased. This Flying Sub came from that room. It is a rare test shot molded in the usual test shot color - white- and includes the clear parts. Although the kit is complete, it does not have a box or instructions like most all test shots.
