It is large scale, well detailed and features full instructions, color photos of the hull assembly process, all die-cut wood parts, wood and metal fittings as required, full size plans and more. Because the USPS clearly states that any flexible envelope will be bent 90 degrees or more within 2 inches due to automatic sorting machines, I cannot send decals in a flexible envelope. And any decal reinforced with cardboard will be equal to or greater than 1/4" thick, which USPS says must go at the normal 'box' rate. There is no choice; because I will not knowingly send decals to destruction, they will only ship in a box. So to eliminate or save significantly on shipping charges, please order them with model kits. Likewise, if you only purchase decals, try to order enough decals make the shipping cost (per sheet) worth while.

First issue 'Four Star" kit dated 1960. This airplane is a civil F3F that was flown for Gulf Oil by the famous stunt pilot Al Williams. The kit has several action features: When you pull the prop outward and rotate it CCW, the landing gear retracts. Pull it outward and rotate it CW, and the gear extends. Push the prop in, and it freewheels as normal. Kit features a movable control surfaces, highly detailed cockpit, full decals including striping, sliding canopy, rigging material and instructions for rigging and is molded in clear, orange and silver. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts and excellent decals and instructions.

Very rare original "S" kit from 1959. The box states "So Realistic It Does Everything But Fly!" and that is no idle boast. It is full of action features; the wings fold, dive brakes operate, arresting hook moves, canopy slides to show full cockpit, landing gear retracts and cowling comes off to show fully detailed engine. The most interesting thing is that the landing gear retracts and extends with a very complicated gear system that is operated from a central point. Molded in the correct gloss medium gray and clear plastic. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. Decals are in amazing 'near mint' condition with slight yellowing as the only flaw and the instructions are 'excellent++'. The box is only graded 'good-' due to the light age staining shown on the box top at the right side.

Very limited edition model of this unique Soviet prototype aircraft. Features all recessed panel lines, very good tandem cockpit, optional position crew hatches, separately molded control surfaces, detailed landing gear and more. Never started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. The Sukhoi T-4 'Sotka' is a Soviet high-speed reconnaissance, anti-ship and strategic bomber aircraft. It is also called 'Aircraft 100', 'Project 100' and even Su-100. Four aircraft were built but only the first prototype flew. In 1963, the Soviet government held a request for proposal among the aircraft design bureaus. The Sukhoi design had a very high cruise speed of 3,200 km/h (2,000 mph) and was favored over the designs submitted by Yakovlev and Tupolev. After a preliminary design review in June of 1964, the building of a prototype was authorized. Development of the T-4 required massive research efforts to develop the technologies necessary, including the manufacturing technologies to machine and weld the materials (much of titanium) necessary to withstand sustained Mach 3 flight. Nearly 600 patents or inventions are attributed to the program. The first flying prototype was finally completed in the autumn of 1971. The first T-4, designated "101", first flew on 22 August 1972. The test pilot was Vladimir Ilyushin, son of famed aircraft designer Sergei Ilyushin, and the navigator was Nikolai Alfyorov. Testing continued to 19 January 1974. The T-4 flew only ten times for a total of 10 hours and 20 minutes. Work continued on an additional three airframes (one for static testing) through 1975. In 1974, the Ministry of Aviation Industry (Soviet Union) ordered work suspended on the T-4 project, which was then officially scrapped on 19 December 1975. One T-4 survives. Aircraft '101' (the flying prototype #1) is on display at the Central Air Force Museum in Monino near Moscow.

Still factory sealed and in investment-grade 'Near Mint+' condition. Fresh from a one-owner and very particular collector. This large scale well detailed model can be flown rubber free flight, gas free flight, or converted to electric RC using modern small and light servos and receivers. Features quality die-cut balsa parts, stripwood and spars, excellent vacuform full engine cowl, scale wheels, thrust button, clear window material, rubber motor, plastic prop, metal stock and prop shaft, diecut plywood firewall for gas engine option, big decal sheet and two sheets of superb full size plans and detailed instructions. Although this box design is originally from 1961, there is a zip code on the side, so this kit is probably from the late 1960s/early to mid 1970s. Guillow's founder, Paul K. Guillow, was a WWI naval aviator. In 1926 he began producing wooden model airplane kits. His 'Shelf Models' were some of the earlier non-flying models in production. Guillow's grew during the model boom of the 1930s, and when the Depression hit the hardest, Guillow's responded with lower prices and became one of the low price leaders, frequently advertising in Model Airplane News and other leading publications. During the war, like most manufacturers, Guillow's was forced to alternative materials such as cardboard and pine. Guillow's survived the post WWII slump by creating many inexpensive profile flying rubber powered aircraft and gliders in the 1950s (along with North Pacific) which became famous - some are still available today. The stick and tissue lines have been updated with laser cut parts and are still in production as of 2009.

Dated 1954. Rare, desirable and very collectible. Classic early multi-media kit with a fantastic internal box presentation. The box top has excellent color and gloss but general wear as shown, two properly repaired (from the inside) split corners and a closed tear (also repaired) on the lower side. Inside, the kit is factory new. All of the factory cardboard presentation material is present and grades from 'mint' to 'excellent++.' Includes numerous plastic parts in red, gray, clear and black, four unopened glass bottle of Mono*Dope that are still good, an unopened tube of MonoGlue still in the original mint box, all prefabricated wooden parts including the amazing Monofoil wing, three sheets of die-cut and factory painted wood (unpunched), colored die-cut cardstock sheet, sandpaper, gun barrel plastic material, decals in amazing 'near mint' condition, 'near mint' instruction book and full size plans and even a miniature Monogram Catalog showing this kit and the entire Speedee-Bilt line for '54. The kit has never been started. It has been carefully inventoried 100% complete with all parts, paperwork, instructions, plans and decals. Amazingly, the celluloid plastic parts range from no warping to very slight warping (on two of the nacelles). This is very rare, as that type of plastic was unstable and warped easily over time. Before injection molded plastic kits were common, Monogram issued the famous 'Speedee-Bilt' and 'Super Kits' which featured injection molded details and precarved wooden parts. Of these, the Speedee-Bilt B-24 and B-17 were the finest. These kits are very rare today due to their relatively high original price of $4.95. This kit must be shipped insured.
