Very rare first issue from the early 1950s. When Aurora moved to the West Hempstead plant, they planned a series of very large scale bombers. All kits released up to this time had been small. Aurora's instincts were correct, and the B-26, B-25 and B-29 were a big sales success. This box art was done by Jim Cox and was only used for about one year, making it very rare. The kit has never been started and is inventoried 100% complete with the original tissue paper, all parts, large clear stand, instructions and decals.

The T43 Class were large minesweepers originally built by the Soviet Union from 1948 to 1957. Poland produced some of this class also. Plastic Model Kit, Box Condition: Exc+
$68
Dated 1959 with dramatic Jo Kotula artwork. Given the lack of 'Famous Fighters' in the oval logo, this issue is probably from about 1963. Otherwise complete with all other parts, decals and instructions present.
Plastic Model Kit, Box Condition: Exc
$32
Dated 2002 and is a reissue of the famous 1963 kit 'With Secret Bomb'. Features specially modified Lancaster fuselage with Dam Buster bomb and release mechanism, retractable landing gear, good cockpit, pilots & crew members, rotating turrets, working elevator, ailerons and trailing edge wing flaps, rotating propellers & wheels and more. Includes a four view paint guide and decals for all three aircraft listed. Never started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. The Dam Busters squadron was famous for its daring raids on three German dams on May 16, 1943. Carrying the special Barnes Wallis-designed bombs, the Lancasters flew very low over the water in the face of heavy flak to drop the rotating bombs perfectly. Many did not return. The bombs did perform as promised, first skipping over the water, hitting the dam, then rolling down 30 feet before exploding with tremendous force. In an airburst, these bombs would not have damaged the dams, but since water is incompressible, the dams were breached.

Resin Model Kit, Box Condition: Exc
$64
Rare model of a great subject. This resin model is superior in detail to injection molded plastic. The waterlin hull, larger parts and super-fine details (some that must be seen to be believed) are all made from pressure-cast (zero air bubbles), high-definition resin. The kit has never been started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes instructions. WSW stood for 'Wings Ships and Wheels' and all production was in Germany. To ship modelers world-wide they are best know for their superb line of 1/700 models, many of which are still the only kit available for that subject. The Blucher was built to compete with the Invincible-class battlecruisers. Unfortunately, the German intelligence on the Invincibles was wrong, and Blucher was built as a large protected cruiser. This hybrid ended up being larger and overmatched for any other cruiser, but unable to stand in the main battleline. Blucher saw a great deal of action early in the war with the High Seas Fleet. However, the Germans were not quite sure how to deploy her, as she ended up in the Battlecruiser Squadron at Dogger Bank. She was already slightly slower than Hipper's main ships (Seydlitz, Moltke and Derfflinger) as was a full 4 knots slower than the pursuing British in HMS Lion. It coul only end one way: Blucher quickly ended up in the van and was quickly outgunned by the superior British force. These hits slowed her further. Hipper decided to leave her to save the more valuable battlecruisers. Blucher sank with a great loss of life.

1995 first issue of this hard-to-find kit of the solid or 'gun nose' Invader in large 1/48 scale. Features full interior with all stations represented, optional position landing gear and bomb bay doors with detailed bay and weapons and more. Inventoried with all plastic parts present and instructions but NOTE: Missing decals. And NOTE: this kit has 'excellent' quality sub-assembly as noted: two bulkheads & instrument panel to cockpit floor; two main gear doors glued in the 'closed' position to two nacelle halves; one nose gear door glued in the 'closed' position to one fuselage half. NOTE: you can only build this kit in the 'gear up' configuration because of the modifications done to the gear doors so they could be glued 'closed.'
