Very rare 1956 true first issue of this classic Monogram action kit. Please note the 'P' prefix on the part number and 'Four Star Plastikit' text under the Monogram logo; these were on the first issue only. Features wheels that steer from the steering wheel, hinged hood, detailed engine, instrument panel, driver, pit mechanic, tool box and more. With colorful decals for the box art car. Molded in the correct ivory plastic and even includes a early Monogram mini-catalog showing only the early product line up to kit # P15. Never started and inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. The decals are in 'excellent++' condition and the instructions are 'near mint.' The box displays better than the 'Excellent++' grade but is rated as such because the box machine at the factory 'bunched the 4" of the litho on the top long side.

This well molded and detailed model features Monogram's famous perfect fit and finish, very fine surface detail, clear cockpit and cabin windows, drop tanks, retractable landing gear, rotating wheels & propellers, three man crew, optional position cabin door, two survivors in a life raft and more. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. The Albatross was the primary sea rescue aircraft of the Aerospace Rescue and Recovery Service, a branch of MAC - Military Airlift Command. Operational service began in 1947 and Hu-16s saw wartime action in Vietnam.
Monogram 1956 Cadillac Convertible - Four Star Issue, 1/20, P13-295

Very rare first and only issue of this model which is dated 1956. The box is graded 'very good' as shown; it has four solid corners, no tape or tags or marks from either, no missing litho and no fading. It does have general wear as shown and a light stain on the lower long side. This large 1/20 scale model features a beautiful, red one piece body that is dead straight (no warping), full interior, chromed front and rear bumpers, red underpan with molded detail (straight- no warping), rubber tires, clear windshield, convertible top boot metal axles and dog, man and woman figures. Inside, the kit still has all original cardboard packing intact and in excellent condition. It has never been started and inventoried 100% complete with all parts and instructions present. The instructions are in 'excellent+' condition. This kit is injection molded with styrene plastic - that is why it is straight and has zero warping. Earlier issues were molded in acetate plastic, which is famous for not being able to hold it's shape. Monogram quickly learned this lesson and discontinue the use of acetate.

Very rare first issue Motorized kit from 1956. This is Monogram's 17th plastic kit and a wonderful effort by Monogram. The problem was that with the $2.49 price tag, this model was more than double (and even quadruple) the price of other kits in that era; subsequently, it did not sell well and was discontinued. The boat is nicely molded and detailed. It can be built for static display, rubber powered or electric motor powered. Features one piece hull, good interior detail, complete chrome plated deck fittings, skipper and girl figures, rubber drive hardware with original rubber band & winder, all motorizing hardware and more. Because this model is 12" long and 4" wide, it could easily be made remote control with today's small RC systems. Please be aware the Monogram did not include the electric motor with this kit. Molded in the correct white, dark gloss orange, blue and chrome plastic. The chrome is in 'excellent++' condition. The large decal sheet includes wood grain panels for the deck and other markings as well. Never started. Inventoried and includes all pieces, decals and instructions. However, NOTE: the skipper's arm is broken off at the elbow and that small piece is missing. The decals are flat and 100% intact but have typical light age discoloration to the backing paper. The box has extensive age foxing as shown (hence the 'good-' grade) but is otherwise solid and intact.

First issue from the late 1950s in amazing, investment-grade 'Near Mint' condition and fantastic box artwork. The box top has factory-new color and gloss, four solid corners, no repairs, no fading, holes or litho tears, no price tags or marks from them, no tape or tape marks (other than the original factory sealing tape), no creasing and no dishing. The only flaw is light edge wear & corner wear. This model is still in demand today because of the great detail and many working features. The missile can be removed or installed for launch or transport; the launcher/truck can be configured for travel or launch, the launching boom can be elevated and rotated, completely detailed suspension and chassis, full interior, crew of 5 and more. Never started. Inside, it is as it came from the factory. The parts that were factory sealed are still in the factory sealed bag. The parts that were never sealed have been inventoried complete. Includes decals and instructions. Decals are 'excellent+++' with very slight and typical age yellowing as the only flaw. The instructions are in 'near mint' condition.

Dated 1958. This classic cold war model has excellent detail and is loaded with action features like all of the Adams armor kits. The loader has movable wheels and tracks, & the missiles elevate, the launcher has movable wheels and the missiles swivel and elevate and the tracker radar has moving wheels and radar screen. Includes five man crew. The kit has never been started. Inside, it is exactly as it came from the factory. The parts that Adams factory sealed are still factory sealed - the white missile parts, the black and silver parts and the smaller olive drab parts.
