Still factory sealed. Still factory sealed and in 'excellent' condition as shown. This 1973 kit is directly from the collection of the original owner, who purchased it new. Molded in the correct ivory plastic with the two-piece clear Airfix 'U-Shaped' base display stand. The Type 4 logo (as shown on this kit) was introduced in the early 1970s and is still used today with slight changes.

Aero models was out of Brooklyn, New York probably from the late 1950s and early 1960s. The Aero series contained a minimum of four large aircraft and were popular for their good performance with the RC equipment of the time. This model came from the estate of a very active and particular early aircraft kit collector. It is like factory-new inside. Never started and inventoried complete with all parts and includes full size plans.

Features neatly die-cut plywood parts, beautiful machined balsa parts, formed plastic full cowl, formed clear plastic canopy and side windows (not yellowed and in mint condition), fully formed metal landing gear, pre-formed metal control linkage, formed and notched wing trailing and leading edges, fuel tank, extensive hardware pack and more. Includes two sheets of detailed, full size plans with text instructions. Never started. All of the smaller parts are still in the factory sealed "PILOT" clear bags. The parts that were not factory sealed have been inventoried complete including the plans. There is mention of decals anywhere and none are present.

NOS (New Old Stock) from a long-closed hobby shop; you would be the first owner. 1950s first issue of the legendary kit. Includes rare optional fittings kit B-17F. Made from wood and designed for electric or gas R/C operation. She measures 55.5 inches long when assembled and is highly detailed. There is a great amount of prefabricattion with parts from plywood, high grade balsa and other woods. Most parts are cleanly die-cut to shape. Solid pieces, such as 5 inch turrets, hull sections, smoke stacks and many more are factory pre-cut to shape. Includes full-size plans, instructions, running hardware, additional R/C instructions, flag sheet and decals. The kit has never been started. Inside, the kit is like new. The parts have not been punched and are in the original sheets. Inventoried complete with all parts, instructions and decals present. The separate fittings kit has been inventoried also and it too is 100% complete. The instruction book as some bug damage around the edges of some sheets but this does not interfere with assembly. The other paperwork no bug damage at all.

From the late 1960s or very early 1970s and one of Sterling's top of the line kits. Features a modified Eiffel 400 special soaring airfoil, optional power pod, prefabricated with many finished parts, top quality die-cut balsa wood and birch plywood pieces, hardware packet, clear canopy, turned nose code, light weight plastic power pod fairing, scale decals, detachable wing panels for easy transport and more. Includes beautiful full-size plans that include building instructions. This kit has not been started. The harware packet is still factory sealed. The other parts have been inventoried and note: missing the following die-cut balsa sheets: #6 and #12. From a careful (not a casual) examination that took me over an hour, I believe it to be otherwise complete. Includes all paperwork and decals. NOTE: sold AS-IS as a builder or parts kit ONLY. NOTE: this kit came in a very sturdy, heavy-duty box. I will ship it in that box wrapped in heavy-duty thick brown packaging paper. The actual kit is "Very large and stable trainer with a 'real aircraft' feel." If you get in a difficult situation, SIG says you can simply take your hands off the controls and the aircraft is so stable that it will automatically recover. Features super light-weight balsa & plywood structure, die-cut wing ribs & fuselage formers, fully formed wire landing gear struts, steerable nose wheels, clear plastic windows, SIG easy hinges, engine mount, complete hardware pack, elevator and rudder pushrods and more. NOS (New Old Stock) from a long-closed hobby shop; you would be the first owner of this kit. Lanny Sheedls and Gene Crim teamed up to form D.C Antiques, where they reproduced some of the all-time greats from the Golden Age Of Model Aviation. Burd Model Airplane Company - whose motto was "A Burd Always Flies!!!" made the famous, top-of-the-line King Burd gas model in 1936. Originally powered by a now rare Baby Cylone ignition engine, Danny and Gene used a tremendous assortment of power plants from .09s to 19s and received considerable enthusiasm whenever and wherever it flew. They flew it both free-flight and R/C. It builds up quickly and has the flight characteristics of a much larger plane and flies like a dream. R/C modifications are drawn in on the plans. Features factory cut wing ribs, all stringer and spar stock, balsa blocks as required, Du-Bro nylon control horns, nylon hinges, improved (over the original) fully formed metal landing gear struts, white, black and dark red covering material, full size rolled plans and text instructions including CG information. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts and paperwork present.

This kit was factory sealed in a unique way. The bottom box and all of the contents was sealed all the way around. That way the potential buyer could remove the top, view the contents and yet everything still stayed sealed. This one is still sealed but there is a tear in the seal at the right, which exposed two compartments of parts; those are complete with the parts still factory sealed. This is a very unique kit. With it you can built the cathedral shown at the right. This is done with a combination of a large, injection molded & detailed base, a fair number of injection molded plastic parts and factory-make molds that you cast the walls and roof with, then you paint and weather it with the included 8 large jars of paint. Here is how it works. First, there is a superb instruction book in English, Spanish (and I believe Portuguese?). Each step is detailed and heavily illustrated. First, the plastic parts are the inner frame for all of the cast walls and roof, so you glue those to the base. Then following the instructions, you mix the included plaster and cast the parts. Then the decoration begins. this starts with how to paint a realistic finish on the stones, adding different tones and then adding the colorful windows. Next, you attach the finished & decorated castings to the plastic frames. Then comes the 'final touches', finishing and some decals - and it's ready to display! Never started. The interior is still about 80% factory sealed and the parts that are not sealed are still in the factory bags. Includes full color text and illustrated instructions. NOTE: as an alternate to the included plaster, you could also used casting resin.

Please note that the manufacturer sealed the lower box (tray) with the contents; that way perspective buyers could lift off the top and see the contents and the kit remained sealed. This 1/200 scale plank-on-frame kit is manufactured by Serial Modellbau of West Germany and most likely dates from the 1970s. The back of the box says "This model kit contains everything except glue - all marine fittings - nails - hardware - sails - wood parts and complete instructions are included." Wel designed and detailed model kit features full instructions in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish, superbly drawn full size plans with numerous with detail views, precut cloth sails, plywood bulkheads, keel and mast caps, numerous brass and metal parts including bilge pump, hinges, lifeboat, anchors, chain, brass & metal nails, wooden blocks & deadeyes and more, mahogany planking and other hardwood planking, wood stock as required, rigging thread, full rigging diagrams, precarved hardwood stand and more. Never started. All parts and paperwork are still factory sealed in and to the lower box (tray). Although no one know for certain, this high-quality line of craftsman ships probably appeared in the 1970s. Known kits from this series include Bluenose (1921), L'Ann Alexander (1836), Royal Yacht (1661), Armistad (1832), San Gabriel (1497) and Prince Neufchatel (1802). All kits are plank on frame construction.
