Still factory sealed; this Monogram/Mattel logo issue is dated 1967. Very well detailed for that time and features movable control surfaces, very good cockpit, sliding canopy, instructions for rigging and a novel action feature: when you pull the prop outward and rotate it counter clock-wise, the landing gear retracts. Rotate it clock-wise and the gear extends. Push the prop in, and it freewheels as normal.

From 1962 and with a hardbox in 'Excellent++' condition. This is tirst issue of this classic 'Action Model' with great detail and mold quality. Features opening canopy to show the highly detailed cockpit, tiny levers under the wings which drop 2 bombs, a small knob on the bottom rotates and extends and retracts the main gear and tailwheel; all gear doors (including tailwheel ones) open and close automatically with the gear. Not only do these features sound great, but they work. My built kit is over 45 years old and functions like new! Molded in silver, black and clear. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. The decals and instructions are both in 'excellent+' condition. This kit has an interesting history. In 1961, Monogram introduced the 1/32 scale Phantom Mustang. This was a very ambitious project. The kit was transparent, highly detailed and included two electric motors. One motor raised and lowered the main gear and tail wheel while the other spun the prop. Two small levers on the base dropped bombs from the wings. It was molded in clear, silver, black, red and zinc chromate green. Although successful, the kit was expensive to produce and Monogram charged a hefty retail price of $4.98. As a way to create more revenue from the molds, Monogram cleverly created this kit - using some of the same molds as the Phantom Mustang. The silver parts tree was completely re-cut and does not match the Phantom version. The red stand, gears and motorizing features were simply left out and the model molded in solid colors. The gear retraction/extension features was retained, but not motorized. On the new silver parts tree they added a small knob (placed on the bottom of the wing) and the same for the bomb dropping mechanism. This lowered the price to $1.98 and this additional revenue hopefully helped pay down the original mold costs.

Rare. This is the first release hardbox kit dated 1958. It features revolving bomb bay that drops a nuclear bomb, trigger action that opens the canopy and ejects the pilot, boarding ladder, ground crew member and more. This is the only release with the ejection feature. Molded in the correct gloss silver and clear plastic. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including all parts, metal spring, decals and instructions.

Contains four aircraft, special Blue Angels decals and unique formation stand. Molded in dark blue and clear. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. Both the decals and instructions are in amazing 'near mint' condition. This kit must be shipped insured.

Still factory sealed and rare in this condition. Classic 1950s hardbox kit with superb Ray Gaedke artwork. This is the hard-to-find first issue with 98 cent price extension. Inside, the model kit features fine raised panel details, movable ailerons, rudder & elevators, detailed engine with opening inspection panel, pilot figure, full landing gear and more. This is still the only early 'short nose' F11F Tiger kit in 1/48 and is usually molded in blue and clear plastic, although I obviously cannot confirm that (since it is factory sealed).

Allyn Douglas C-124 Globemaster - Heavy Duty All Purpose Transport, 1/174, 902

Very rare, complete kit from the early 1950s. Allyn produced 'Factory Display' models for aircraft manufacturers (such as Douglas) and the US Air Force. They also released some to the public as unassembled model kits; those are very rare today. The Allyn kits were produced from the early 1950s and by the late 1950s production had been discontinued. Today they are all highly prized collectors items. The Douglas Globemaster is molded in glossy light gray, clear & black plastic and includes factory painted yellow propeller tips and four washers as the propeller retainers. The aircraft is in the 'in-flight' configuration like most all factory models. Includes a very large clear two piece display stand. The base of the stand says 'DOUGLAS - C-124 - GLOBEMASTER.' US Air Force decals are included. This kit has never been started. Inside, it is as it came from the factory. The propeller, washers, clear canopy & cowlings are still sealed in the original factory 'krinkle' bag; the large parts were never sealed and have been inventoried complete. Includes decals and all paperwork. There is one sheet with illustrated and text building instructions. Another sheet has a C-124 painting on one side and specifications & a list of important highlights for 'The New Douglas C-24 Globemaster.' On the back of the instructions are photos of other Allyn Douglas Company display models that were for sale at the time. They included The Navy Skystreak, Navy Skyrocket, Globemaster, Navy Skyraider, Navy Skyknight and Navy Skyshark. The decals and both instruction sheets are in 'excellent+' condition. This kit comes from a long-time collector and he was the original owner, which means you will be the second owner.
