1950s issue with fantastic Ray Gaedke artwork. This kit features fine raised panel lines, moving rudder and wing control surfaces, complete jet engine with opening inspection cover, pilot, two drop tanks, under wing rockets and a clear display stand. Lindberg is a company with a fascinating history The original 'Lindberg Line' stretches back to the 1930s when Paul Lindberg drew plans for famous modeling magazines and marketed his balsa wood 'stick and tissue' by urging dealers to carry the '...Complete Lindberg Line'. Still factory sealed and from the original Pyro molds, The Monitor is 10 inches long and the Merrimac is 11 inches long when built. These have superior detail to the Lindberg kits. Both kits feature full hull, rudder & propeller detail, deck fittings, cannon, flags and more. These are the two American Civil war ships that spelled the end of the wooden ship age. In March of 1862, the Merrimac put to sea to raise the Union Blockade off the St. James. There she sank the Cumberland and Congress. The Monitor, the Union's only ironclad and the first turret ship, was rushed to the scene. The epic battle between the two iron-clad ships ended in a draw, with the Merrimac suffering a little more damage than the Monitor. The Merrimac was blown up to avoid capture; the Monitor sank in a gale in 1862.

Gun barrel swivels, elevates and has recoil action. Wheels turn with flexible tires and trails fold inward for towing. Includes 4 G.I. figures, shells, crates and detailed 'battle-ground' base. Limited production kit. Contains photoetched details. The small Ar-231 was designed as a scout/recon aircraft to be carried on U-Boats in a water-tight hangar. Six prototypes were built and extensively tested. The aircraft proved to be a handful even in calm weather, and design restrictions made the Ar-231 small and underpowered. . Would look great with a modified Revell 1/72 U-Boat kit. Never started and the parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions.

Still factory sealed and in investment-grade 'Near Mint+' condition. This is one of the more dramatic Craftmaster boxes. A British carrier launches a heavily battle-damaged Buccaneers with enemy ships within visual range, meaning that something has already gone horribly wrong. Other Buccaneers are taking heavy and accurate fire from the enemy, while one ship is engulfed in flames; to add to the carnage, propeller driven aircraft fall burning from the sky. The Buccaneer was the world's first purpose designed low level 'below the radar' bomber. Low level strike aircraft have a shorter airframe life limit due to the stresses of low level flying, so the Buccaneer was designed to be very strong and even had many sub-assemblies milled from solid metal. This model kit features opening unique rotating bomb bay, folding wings and working arresting hook. This is one of two known Craftmaster issues of the NA-39.

Another fine limited run model from this well known company. The model features very high quality main airframe vacuform moldings (better than many injection molded kits) and all of the details are injection molded plastic (numbering several dozen parts). Early hardbox issue of this model that builds a civil or military trainer of the aircraft which was used in Czechoslovakia after WWII. This aircraft is basically a Czech copy of the Siebel Si-204D. 1965 hardbox issue. The short service life of many Lockheed Electra aircraft posed a problem for Revell; they had invested in the Electra tooling but the kits were no longer selling. Luckily, the Navy took a long term view of the Electra airframe/powerplant combination and saw a superb ASW aircraft. Revell modified the Electra molds to produce this fine small scale Orion kit. Never started. Inventoried complete with all parts, decals and instructions present.
