On this website are two articles that fully explain how to save or reproduce older decals; please read read these before using any older model kit or aftermarket decals. Plastic Model Kit, Box Condition: Sealed NM++

Still factory sealed and from 1966. This is a very unusual and short-lived issue with the new four digit part number and a price extension of 150. This was soon dropped. There are other differences as well - please note the unique logo on the box top, and there are very small Mattel logos on both short sides. Later Monogram/Mattel issues had another logo on the box top. This is a reissue of the Four Star kit and has many action features: wings fold properly as on the real aircraft, landing gear retracts, bomb bay doors open and torpedo drops, machine gun rotates and elevates, and the prop and wheels turn. Includes four airmen.

Plastic Model Kit, Box Condition: VG

Rare kit from 1959 and the only aircraft model ever made by Adams. This was a fantastic kit for the time and features very fine raised panel lines with recessed control surface outlines, retractable landing gear, pilot & ejection seat, opening canopy and missiles that actually launch from the central pod. Never started and inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. Adams was founded by Steve Adams and released plastic assembly kits in the late 1950s. The company was innovative and the general quality of most kits was very high for the time- so much that builders (not just collectors) still seek the kits today. Adams is best known today for a series of military vehicles and missiles, although they also released an aircraft (Draken), helicopter (YH-41), balloon (La Coquette) and ship (SS Savannah). Some of these appeared in gift sets as well. The Adams smaller scale (1/40) Atomic Cannon, Hawk Missile Battery, Honest John, Vanguard (1/80) and Thor (1/87)missiles and other kits are still sought after today. Combinations of these kits were issued in gift sets, which are very desirable collector's items today. In the late 1950s, Adams entered into a joint venture with Revell, and several of the military kits were released under the Revell label, such as the Jeep among others. Around 1960 there was a disagreement between Adams and Revell, and the agreement was terminated. Sometime after this, Adams quit the plastic model business, and Life-Like purchased most of the Adams molds.
