This kit is from quality Hasegawa molds as was part of a short-lived AMT marketing strategy in the 1970s. Hasegawa made the kits and shipped them to the USA where AMT placed them in locally made boxes and marketed the kits. Often AMT would provide their own decals and revised instructions as well. Never started and inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.

Still factory sealed. 1998 issue of the classic 1969 kit. This large 1/24 scale model is a Well detailed kit of Major Yuri Gagarin's spacecraft. Features detachable crew compartment, ejection seat and Cosmonaut figure. Molded in metallic silver and clear and includes display stand. The kit has never been started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes instructions. Gagarin's flight was the first of 6 successful Vostok launches from the secret space center at Baikonur. Gagarin made one orbit in 108 minutes, which was enough to make him the first man in space. Titov followed in Vostok 2 and made 17 orbits. Other launches featured 4 mile passes in orbit, and Vostok 6 featured the first Woman Astronaut, Valentina Tereshkova. It is interesting that Vostok did not have attitude control for correct placement when re-entering the earth's atmosphere. The sphere was designed with the weight off-center, so it would automatically swing into position during the heat of reentry.

1980s issue of the -30 longer range DC-10 that features 83 pieces, fine raised and recessed surface detail, clear cockpit and cabin windows, fully enclosed gear bays, very good engine intake and exhaust, full landing gear and more. Includes colorful AeroMexico decals and a four-view painting guide. The kit has never been started. The parts that were factory sealed are still in the sealed bags. The few large parts that were not factory sealed have been inventoried complete including decals and instructions.

Still factory sealed. This highly detailed model has 173 pieces and is an accurate representation of a Galleon-type of warship from about 1450. Note the 8 towers, which housed men-of-arms for when the ship drew near the opponent. Includes billowing sails. NOTE: the box displays much higher than the 'Sealed Fair' rating; it is ranked that low because 4/5 of the right top box side is missing. The inner box is still intact and the factory seal has kept the box from ever being opened.

The AN-2 proved to be a very successful design. Production began in 1947 and ended in 1978. The Colt can carry 14 passengers and can be equipped with floats, skis or wheels and can carry cargo, passengers or perform agricultural service. Over 5000 were produced in the USSR and several thousand more in China and Poland.

Decals are for the much-photographed XA930 which lead a very long and distinguished RAF career.
