Dated 1968 with the Mattel/Monogram logo. This kit is part of a very famous World War II action kit line that Monogram issued in 1/48 scale. Features complete suspension, exhaust and chassis detailed, complete engine and engine compartment, removable hood and full interior detail. The wheels roll and the convertible top and boot can be removed. Molded in off-white, white, black, chrome and has rubber tires. Never started. Inside, the kit is exactly as it came from the factory. Special Edition limited release. Beautifully detailed kit of one of the classic airliners of the 1930s. The kit has never been started. NOTE: missing two (of eight) exhaust pipes; very easily made from wire as they are simple tubes with 2 slight bends. It has been inventoried with all other parts and includes decals and instructions. Imperial Airways equipped these aircraft with deluxe interiors and provided full service. Customers were thoroughly pampered and had superb views of the ground from only a few thousand feet.

Still factory sealed. From 1991. Beautiful and well detailed model of the early Fortress. Molded with all fine recessed panel lines. Features excellent cockpit detail, rotating props and wheels, bomb bay detail and full bomb load and optional position doors. Dusty Rhodes was doing box art research and discovered that the painting for this kit represents the Good Will flight from Langley to Rio de Janeiro in November of 1938. The future SAC leader, Curtis LeMay, was on this flight as the lead navigator as a lowly First Lieutenant.
