Ex-Soviet Union kit that is very well molded for that time with very fine detail and hull drain holes. Full hull model measures 7.5 inches long when assembled and includes display stand and decals. The kit has never been started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags, which is attached to cardstock that is folded in two. At times the factory workers had to get pretty creative because of a shortage of staples. Beyond staples, I have seen the bag of parts attached with tape, a clothing snap, a rivet or even sewn on with thread!

1972 hardbox issue in a beautiful 'Excellent+++' condition box. Aurora greatly improved these molds for this issue which makes it an excellent builder. Features 'good' cockpit detail, two Lewis machine guns, twin Liberty 12 engines, pilot, two gunners and 2 mechanic figures, painting guide and rigging guide. The kit has never been started. Inventoried and NOTE: missing the display base and one very small piece: the flat windscreen. I have included thick clear styrene as this is very simple to make. During the golden era of realistic train models, La Belle Woodworking Company created perhaps the very finest scale kits of early American passenger equipment. The kit features die cut hardwood parts (no balsa) such as pre-cut and scribed sides with all windows factory cut, car ends done in the same fashion, carved clerestory roof, tinted clear clerestory window material, working end diaphragms, excellent underside details & other metal details, building instructions and full size plans. I have seen these models built and they look identical to the real prototypes. The kit has not been started and is complete with all parts, plans and instructions.

Finely cast resin waterline model that includes illustrated directions. Never started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes instructions. Yashima was built in Great Britain and participated in the early stages of the Russo-Japanese War of 1904-1905, including the Battle of Port Arthur on the second day of hostilities. Yashima was active in other operations until she hit two mines off Port Arthur in may of 1904. She did not sink immediately but capsized while being towed later that day. Today there is a beautiful, very large scale model of her in the British National Maritime Museum.

For the advanced Hawk collector. Solid wood, wartime scale kit from 1946. Features 3D cut and tapered fuselage, completely finished engine nacelle, very nicely factory-cut wings, horizontal & vertical stabilizers, fully finished wheels, metal seat, clear vacuform canopy (still clear, not yellowed), plastic propeller, wood stock as necessary, color decal sheet, and excellent Hawk full size plans. Never started and inventoried 100% complete. Hawk was one of the few manufacturers making wooden kits to a constant scale of 1/48 in the 1930s. Hawk kits were very complete and included plastic or metal details and superb quality drawings for the true scale enthusiast.

1970s Life-Like issue from the original 1950s molds. Very highly detailed model includes coach, horses and figures as shown on the box art. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes instructions. 'Miniature Masterpieces' was formed through an alliance of Lew Glaser (Revell) and Steve Adams (Adams Action Models) in 1953. Although the molds were made at Adams and it had the appearance of an independent company, the firm was run by Revell down to the prototypes being made at the Revell plant. Originally there was no evidence of the parent company on the surface. The State Coach of England was the first kit, issued in 1953. More kits of excellent quality followed. Revell completely took over the line in 1954 and in that year and the next, kits were labeled 'Revell' with a 'Miniature Masterpiece' label on the box top also. The molds, however must have remained in Adam's hands, because when Life-Like acquired the Adams molds, the Miniature Masterpieces were included as well.

Very rare version and the rarest of all Aurora SE-5s. Note that the rectangular background for the oval 'Famous Fighters' logo is white and not the more common yellow. The two issues are identical other than the background color for the lower-right rectangle. The hardbox is dated 1956 with the original Jim Cox box art but with the 1957 oval 'Famous Fighters' logo. The original rectangle 'Northern Lights'; logo has been neatly blotted out with a white rectangle of the same size. The fact that the price is still 69 cents (as the original issue) means this issue is very late 1956 or very early '57. Molded in gloss olive green and black. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. NOTE: there is a short tape tear on the lower long side measuring 1/2" x 1/4" and two dark, translucent tape stains (1" x 3/8") on the upper long side.

The perfect builder kit. StromBecker was famous for this line of precarved hardwood and plastic kits. The carving is done to the final shape so all of the hard work is done; just sand and assembly. When complete it makes an impressive desk top display.
