1954 original issue of the famous Highway Pioneers 'Foreign Car' series. These issues feature the same 5 car artwork on every box; the only way to identify the contents was an ink-stamped name on the box ends. Molded in gloss dark green plastic. This kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts and instructions present. These kits have a fascinating history. Hobbies were nothing new to America in the 1930s/40s, but they were not mainstream and never made the top 10 list of boys activities. Spurred on by the nation-wide aviation craze in the 1920s, many became modelers and built flying or static wooden models of airplanes, ships, trains, automotive and other subjects. Basic kits existed, but many of these models were built from scratch, which demanded a high talent level developed from years of experience. That changed in the early 1950s when the Gowland & Gowland/Revell Highway Pioneers became the sales sensation of the year. Demand was so great that the factories could not keep up and almost overnight 'model building' was mainstream. The phenomenon of the 'Highway Pioneers' kits was a significant force in proving that model building as a hobby could have mass appeal, provided that the kits were easy enough to build and finish. These 1/32 scale vehicles fit the bill: they could be built in an hour after dinner and looked much like the real cars. The success of the Highway Pioneers lead to the production of other subjects in plastic and the effect was revolutionary. By the late 1950s, model building was the #1 past time of American boys...and many adult males too!

Rare early issue from about 1970. Molded in white and green-tint clear plastic and contains decals for all the starships from the series. Never started. Nicely made small scale kit from the mid 1950s to the very early 1960s. Never started. The small parts are still in the internal factory sealed bag, and the larger parts that were never sealed have been inventoried complete including decals and instructions. Lincoln was based in Hong Kong. Plastic kits were not the primary business, but they established quite a line of them before discontinuing production in the late 1960s/early 1970s. Many molds moved to Kader, also in Hong Kong, who reissued the line. Many molds eventually found their way to the USA either through ATP (who purchased the excess kit stock when Kader sold out) or IM.

Maircraft was originally founded in the early or mid 1930s by Gordon Christoph and went by the name Aircraft Model Company. The company produced a typical line of solid 'profile cut' kits that required the usual high talent levels for carving and finishing. A former Comet Model Airplane & Supply Co. salesman, Jack Mair, bought the company in the early 1940s and renamed it Maircraft. This company was one of the handful of solid kit producers who issued models in a consistent 1/48 scale during the 1930s and 1940s (others included Hawk and Dyna-Model). This lead to one of the most desirable and rare model kits ever produced in the USA - the wood/plastic 1/48 United DC-3 model issued immediately after World War 2. Other than the P-61 and a few other Maircraft offerings, most were simple kits that sold for the low price of about 35 cents and gave the owners many hours of pleasurable work. This kit features a full size plan with instructions steps, fuselage that is about 70% cut, profile cut wings and tail feather, strut material and fully formed wheels. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes instructions.

High quality, solid wooden model from the 1930s features all hardwood parts (no balsa), 3D cut fuselage, 2D profile cut wings, two sheet of printwood, fully formed wooden wheels, full color insignia and quality three view plans with text building instructions. Never started and complete. This model is rare in that it is from Gordon Christoph's Aircraft Model Company. This company was founded in the early 1930s. Jack Mair, a former Comet Model Airplane & Supply Co. salesman bought the company in the early 1940s and renamed it Maircraft. Mair continued with the same logo and 1/48 scale and went on to make one of the rarest and valuable 1/48 scale wooden kits ever - the Maircraft DC-3. The company went out of business just as production began on the DC-3, which was in 1947.

Unusual and still factory sealed kit of the first permanently based space telescope. The model measures 7.5 inches (18.75 cm) tall when assembled and was developed from official NASA plans. Features finely engraved panel lines including solar array and high gain antenna - has an opening aperture door to reveal interior telescope details. 1983 History Makers issue from the original molds. This is a well detailed model for that time and features removable engine panels to display the detailed Jumo 004 turbojets, full cockpit detail, two belly tanks, FuG 219 "Neptun V" radar antennas, hinged front and rear canopy, crew of two, clear wing tip lights and more. Never started. The parts and all of the paperwork are still in the internal factory sealed bags. Literally everything is factory sealed inside.

1960s issue of the famous 'Stringbag' with the T3 Airfix logo. This is a very well molded and detailed kit for that time that features very fine raised panel lines, an even finer and realistic fabric texture where appropriate, pilot and gunner figures, rear-firing machine gun, good engine, wing-mounted rocket racks with individual projectiles, centerline torpedo armament and more. Includes a multi-view paint guide and decals for the box top aircraft. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete including decals and instructions.

Rare, large 1/32 scale solid model from 1942. At that time, their were 'fliers' and 'solids.' 'Fliers' were notoriously off-scale and lacked detail so they would fly well. 'Solids' were true scale models that were solid wood and designed only to be scale miniatures (they did not fly). This kit has a very worn box but inside everything is in very good condition. Features a 12 inch wingspan, balsa blocks and wood stock, printwood, color insignia sheet and quality plans with construction notes, cross section templates as well as a painting guide. Never started and complete. Marvel Mfg. Company was located in Seaford, Long Island, New York and had an extensive line of solid aircraft, wooden ships, army tanks and more. Just as a small example, the following are advertised on the back of this larger-scale solid kit: Grumman JRF-2, Mariner PBM-1, Bell YFM-1, P-38, P-40, Baltimore, Ryan STM-2, Curtiss AT-9, Douglas A-20A, Republic Guardsman, Grumman Skyrocket and Douglas 8A-5.
