Wood and Plastic Model Kit, Box Condition: Exc
$265
Very Rare. This is a highly prefabricated motor-glider model that includes a plastic fuselage with all necessary holds and cuttings done (down to the nose for perfectly pre-defined thrust angle), anodized aluminum tail boom, factory-built wings with main sparts of pine wood, factory-built tail feathers, electric motor and mount, 6x6" folding propeller, spinner and motor switch unit, very complete R/C hardware pack, light-weight vacuformed canopy (still factory sealed and in superb condition), extensive, full color decal (sticker) sheet and more. Never started. Inside, the kit is exactly as it left the factory. Robbe sealed most of the parts in clear bags; those parts are still factory sealed. The very few parts that were never sealed are inventoried complete. Includes all paperwork. The heavily illustrated and large instruction book is in German, English and other languages as well.
Plastic Model Kit, Box Condition: Exc
$125
Rare early issue copyright dated 1956; please note the Northern Lights rectangular logo at the lower right. The box art is by the famous Jo Kotula. Inside, this kit is 100% correct with the early West Hempstead rectangular-base display stand, early decal sheet and even the instructions have this early stand illustrated. However, the instructions also have the Famous Fighters oval! That would make this kit late 1956/early 1957 right when Aurora was transitioning to the FF logo and just about to blot out the rectangle 'Northern Lights' logo. Molded in correct silver and clear plastic. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions present. The box might grade slightly higher than 'excellent' but it rated as such because there is a factory tape pull about 3/4 x 1/4 inch on the long lower side.

The decals are in mint condition and fresh from climate-controlled storage. If you buy decals with a kit or accessories, that will add little or nothing to the shipping costs. However, if your order is just a decal sheet and nothing else, the shipping will be higher because I only ship them in a box due to rough handling that envelopes receive with USPS.

Plastic Model Kit, Box Condition: Sealed Exc

Still factory sealed. This 2007 set includes both kits and a plastic seascape battle display base. The Merrimac measures just shy of 13 inches long and the Monitor measures 8.25 inches long. These are the two American Civil war ships that spelled the end of the wooden ship age. In March of 1862, the Merrimac put to sea to raise the Union Blockade off the James River. There she sank the Cumberland and Congress. The Monitor, the Union's only ironclad and the first turret ship, was rushed to the scene. The epic battle between the two iron-clad ships ended in a draw, with the Merrimac suffering a little more damage than the Monitor. The Merrimac was blown up to avoid capture; the Monitor sank in a gale in 1862.
