Rare 1/48 scale kit that is part of the classic and highly detailed Bandai 'Pin Point' 1/48 armor series. These kits are beautifully molded and feature full interior detail as well as flexible treads, many operating features and very detailed crew members that can be assembled in almost any position. The kit has never been started. Most parts are still in the sealed bags. The few parts that are not factory sealed have been inventoried complete including decals and instructions.

Sleek and beautiful, the Breguet 693 was a fast low-level twin engine attack bomber with a crew of two. Armament was one 20mm cannon and two machine guns in front and one turret mounted machine gun facing aft. Bomb load was 6 to 8 50 kg bombs. The kit has never been started. Orange Crush-Revell 1903 Ford Model A, 1/32

Very rare kit with a fascinating history. Around 1958/59, Orange Crush of Mexico offered a promotion. They offered free, colorful, plastic model cars if you collected correctly-marked Orange Crush bottle caps. The models are 1/32 scale Revell Highway Pioneer series - although there is no mention of Revell or Lodela anywhere on the box. Orange Crush had the boxes and even the instructions specially made for them with no mention of a manufacturer. They were never given numbers. The boxes were very thin and fragile cardboard. This has contributed to wear and you must be very cautious with them. The kit has never been started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bag and the instructions are sealed in the bag as well. You could redeem your caps two ways - at the Orange Crush truck and at a Modelandia Hobby House. The box sides show the 18 cars in the series. Orange Crush also released two full-color booklets and a complete paint set for the cars. A colorful cardboard box held 7 colors of paint in glass bottles, complete with 'Orange Crush' screw-on caps! The entire promotion was done in coordination with Modelandia Hobby House which had up to 19 stores. Modelandia's name appears on each of the boxes and the paint as well. Robina S.A. was the bottler or distributor of Orange Crush in Mexico at that time. The box side lists the other 18 kits with small color pictures of each and shows three sizes of OC - Family Size (Familiar), Grand (Grande) and Normal. You could also obtain models with Titan bottle caps. Titan was also bottled by Robina and came in large (Titan) and smaller (Titancito) sizes and apparently more than one flavor. We do not know how Orange Crush had access to the plastic kits or who sealed the internal bags with the Crush instructions inside them. We can assume that it may have been Lodela, since they would have had access to the Revell molds. It is not know for how long the promotion lasted, but Orange Crush was one of the most dominant soft drinks in Mexico at that time. Here is one clue: some boxes claim that Modelandia had 13 locations; other boxes, which obviously came later on, claim 19 locations. This may indicate that this promotion went on for a significant amount of time.

Rare kit from the 1940s or very late 1930s. Every rarer in this condition - with a complete box and all contents never disturbed other than when I did the inventory. This is very unusual due to the age and their very fragile nature. This model is one of Joe Ott's mid-range line in size and price. It features glue in a metal tube, 2 sheets of the unique Ott-O-Matic formers on thick stock, factory-carved balsa wood propeller, thin hardwood wing ribs, factory-cut stripwood stock, a factory sealed paper envelope for the small parts (usually consists of fully carved thrust button, main wheels and metal prop shaft/rubber motor hook), clear material for windows, color insignia, covering tissue and excellent plans. The kit has never been started. The loose parts have been inventoried complete and the paper envelope is still factory sealed.

Rare solid model from 1942. At that time, their were 'fliers' and 'solids.' 'Fliers' were notoriously off-scale so they would fly well and also lacked detail. 'Solids' were true scale models that were solid wood and designed only to be scale miniatures (they did not fly). This kit has a worn box missing the end flaps, but inside it is complete with all parts and full-size plans with instructions and a description of this rare aircraft. There are three sheets of printwood and a block for the fuselage. The model has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and plans present. Please note, this is war time model so compressed fibre-board has been substituted for balsa wood. Marvel Mfg. Company was located in Seaford, Long Island, New York and had an extensive line of solid aircraft, wooden ships, army tanks and more. Just as a small example, the following are advertised on the back of this larger-scale solid kit: Grumman JRF-2, Mariner PBM-1, Bell YFM-1, P-38, P-40, Baltimore, Ryan STM-2, Curtiss AT-9, Douglas A-20A, Republic Guardsman, Grumman Skyrocket and Douglas 8A-5.

Rare. This is a large-scale model of the famous Brompton folding bicycle. It is well detailed and molded in red plastic and there are a few metal parts as well. The kit has never been started. From older but quality Fujimi molds and with box art by Scott Eidson. The kit has never been started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. UPC stood for Universal Powermaster Corporation which was based out of New York City, NY. UPC did not cut their own molds, but bought kits already molded from other manufacturers and re-boxed the kits in the USA. Scott Eidson, the famous artist best known for his artwork with Revell, also did UPC box art in the 1960s. All UPC production ended in the 1970s.

Hudson Miniatures 1903 Rambler - Old Timers, 1/16

Very well detailed large 1/16 kit from 1949. Features plastic wheels, lights, other accessories and wooden main parts and occasionally metal parts and cardstock. Although all of Hudson's 1/16 kits have excellent detail, this one has even more detail than usual thanks to Hudson's engineers having access to the actual car. The small parts are still factory bag sealed and the other parts have been inventoried complete with all parts, plans and instructions. Hudson Miniatures created a very popular line of automobile kits in a constant 1/16 scale shortly after WWII. The kits sold very well...so well that you could argue that Gowland & Gowland borrowed Hudson's subject matter for their ground-breaking 'Highway Pioneers.' The Hudson Miniatures 'Old Timers' even spawned a line of imitators, with Fador's 'Smallster' being one of the better in quality. Sales did drop on the appearance and popularity of the much smaller (and less accurate) Gowland/Revell 'Highway Pioneers' in 1951. When the all-injection molded Gowland kits proved not to be a passing fad, Hudson quickly planned and released his own all-plastic, small-scale competition called 'Lil' Old Timers Quickie Kits.' The kits were of excellent quality, but it was too little too late. Additionally, sales of the excellent wooden kits faltered further in the next few years with the introduction of accurate, 1/24 and 1/32 all-plastic cars in the mid 1950s. This forced Hudson to discontinue the wood kits and the plastic line was sold to Revell and subsequently re-released. Today, these excellent, big 1/16 kits are often the only model available of these early automobiles. In the mid 1960s Aurora thought so highly of Hudson Miniatures that they purchased the wood kit assets and released a very small number of these in all-plastic models.
