Very rare and from 1955. This is a very highly prefabricated model. Cavacraft used a generic box (with a SE-5 and DVII) for all of these and the only way to know the contents is by the ink stamp on the side. This box is correct for the DVII. NOTE: build only, please read very carefully for the condition. 1950s wood pre-fab flying model for gas power U-Control. I am almost certain that the box artwork was originally painted by Jim Cox who also did all of the early Aurora box art paintings. Regardless of the manufacturer he was working for, Mr. Cox had a strong tendency to show the D-VII and it's pilot in horrible, certain death situations. Here the Scout pilot pours lead directly into the unfortunate Luftstreitkrafte pilot while his stricken engine spews oil and smoke. Cavacraft pulled out all the stops on this model. When you open the lid, the first thing you see are the factory-built wings installed in the fuselage with the tail feathers in place. It is literally ready to assemble. Everything is sheeted but the wings, for which covering material is provided. All of the main balsa parts are pre-carved and finished, while the flat ones are die-cut. includes a die-cut plywood firewall, fully formed wire landing gear, completely finished wheels, hinge material, covering tissue for the wings and some hardware. This kit has not been started. NOTE: missing the plans/instructions and missing the decals, as well as the screws for mounting the engine of your choice (the engine was not included with the kit). I believe that the model is complete other than those things listed; this collector loved to remove the instructions and decals from his kits for 'safe keeping' but that location was never discovered. Please be aware that this is sold AS-IS as I cannot do a complete inventory as there are no instructions. Although I have not seen them, this box and art were clearly used for more than one kit. The only way to identify what is inside is by the ink stamp on the left and right sides of the box. The kit number "G-3" implies there may have been at least three kits, and one of them may have been a Sopwith Camel. Thanks to Dusty Rhodes, we know that G2 was the British SE-5.

KeilKraft was produced by the E. Keil & Company, Limited of Wickford, Essex Great Britain. Keil specialized in stick and tissue scale flying models and gliders. However, they moved into injection molded kits after WWII. Four kits were planned but only two were released. This Hurricane was the first one, followed by F2, a Sopwith Camel. The Stuka and Chipmunk were never issued. This kit has not been started. The parts are either still in the factory sealed bag or inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions.

From the 1950s and with wonderful artwork. The hardbox is in 'excellent' condition with like-new color and gloss. Molded in the correct gloss silver and clear with the early O-lin style two-piece, teardrop-based stand. The kit has not been started and is complete with all parts, decals and instructions. Paul Lindberg got his start in 1930s model aviation by designing, building and flying stick and tissue aircraft. His plans appeared in Popular Aviation magazine and he soon made a name for himself. When injection molding showed the way to increased kit sales in the late 1940s/early 1950s, he quickly teamed up with Mr. Olsen to create 'O-lin' models. Ray Gaedke was one the the early artists for O-lin, and he help pioneer dramatic and colorful box artwork. In the early 1950s Paul Lindberg was running the company and had the logo changed to his name. The first logo was circular, with 'Lindberg' in middle and 'Products' 'Incorporated' arched across the top and bottom. The second logo is the 'Yellow Square' that is on this kit. Ray Gadke continued his bold and colorful artwork for Lindberg and did this F-80C boxart as well.

1972 hardbox issue in a beautiful 'Excellent+' condition box. Features 'good' cockpit detail, two Lewis machine guns, twin Liberty 12 engines, pilot, two gunners and 2 mechanic figures, painting guide and rigging guide. The kit has never been started. Mid 1960s large-scale model of the famous schooner that would race between New York and Bermuda. Very nicely detailed and measures about 19 inches long when built. Features a one piece hull with separately molded rudder, full deck fittings, small boats with oars, multi-piece masts with separate gaffs, full vacuform billowing sails, rigging material and instructions for both standing and running rigging. The hull is molded in dark gloss green and the other parts are molded in a lite tan and swirl dark wood plastic. The kit has never been started. The dark wood parts are still in the factory sealed bags. The other parts have been inventoried complete including instructions. The vacuform sails are in mint condition.
