Amodel Miasischev M-50A Bounder - Supersonic Soviet Bomber, 1/72, 72016

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc

Miasischev M-50A Bounder - Supersonic Soviet Bomber

$250

Rare and the only 1/72 scale injection-molded kit ever made of this giant Russian Supersonic Bomber. Never started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. From the website nuke.fas.org comes this descriptions: OKB Myasishchyev began working on the supersonic intercontinental bomber M-50 in 1956. The aircraft was intended to be equipped with and the supersonic long-range M-61 cruise missile, also developed by OKB Myasishchyev. The bomber had a strategic strike capability due to its range of 10,000 km plus the 1000 km range of the missile. The M-50 had forward trailing triangular wings, a wing span of 35.1 meters and a length of 57.5 meters. Powered by four "16-17" engines developed by P.F. Zubets, two engine pods were mounted outboard on the wings and two less powerful engines at the tip of the wings. The prototype was constructed in 1959 and made the first flight on 27 October 1959. As engines the which were supposed to equip the airplane were at that time not yet available, on the prototype version two VD-7 engines and two VD-7g were used. In this configuration the demonstrated a speed of Mach 0.99. The second M-50, designated the M-52, carried the Zubets engines around which the aircraft had been designed. The engine installation was modified, and a second tailplane was added to the top of the fin. In December 1960, N. S. Khruschev, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union (CPSU) made a speech at the Supreme Soviet session in which he proclaimed the inexpedience of the further development of military aircraft. The Soviet leader, fascinated by the triumph of Russian space technology and exploration, directed that all the tasks formerly executed by the combat aircraft be performed by guided missiles of various types. The Council of Ministers and the CPSU Central Committee issued a joint decree terminating work on new aircraft. The first victims of the decree were the Lavochkin and Myasischev aircraft design bureaus. They had to fully reorganize their work. V. Myasischev was appointed director of TsAGI. He was very disappointed at the fact that only a few of his M-50 and M-52 long-range supersonic bombers were produced. In 1960 development of the M-50 bomber was halted when OKB Myasishchyev was dis-established. Surprisingly little is known about the Bounder. One writer commented that it was "an outstanding failure which revealed an embarrassing lack of understanding of the problems of high-speed flight."

Microscale P-51 Checker Tail - 6 Aircraft Dusty Butt / Mary Nell / Stout Burr Boy / Sign / Shimmy III, 1/32, 32-0026

Other Materials,   Box Condition: Good

P-51 Checker Tail - 6 Aircraft Dusty Butt / Mary Nell / Stout Burr Boy / Sign / Shimmy III

$12

These decals are 'near mint' condition and have always been stored in a climate controlled residence. NOTE: the only flaw is that one number is missing from each of the two tail numbers - you can see it in the middle of the photo if you look closely. Includes paint and markings guide. On this website are two articles that fully explain how to save or reproduce older decals; please read read these before using any older model kit or aftermarket decals. To save on or eliminate shipping for decals, please order them with model kits or order enough of them to make boxing worth while. USPS clearly states that any flexible envelope will be bent 90 degrees or more within 2 inches, so I cannot send decals in a flexible envelope. A decal reinforced with cardboard will be greater than 1/4" thick, which USPS says must go as a normal box. There is no choice; because I will not send decals to their probable destruction, shipping in a box is the only option. I inquired about sending decals via "Media Mail" as the looks like the perfect solution; however, the US Post Master specifically called out decals as not being Media mail and prohibiting using it in that way. Yes, some businesses do anyway but it is against regulations. I have a great relationship with USPS and I cannot put that at risk.

After The Battle - Post Battle Of Britain M.II And Mk.V Spitfires Part I

$14

These decals are 'mint' condition and have always been stored in a climate controlled residence. Includes paint and markings guide. On this website are two articles that fully explain how to save or reproduce older decals; please read read these before using any older model kit or aftermarket decals. Because the USPS clearly states that any flexible envelope will be bent 90 degrees or more within 2 inches due to automatic sorting machines, I cannot send decals in a flexible envelope. And any decal reinforced with cardboard will be equal to or greater than 1/4" thick, which USPS says must go at the normal 'box' rate. There is no choice; because I will not knowingly send decals to destruction, they will only ship in a box. So to eliminate or save significantly on shipping charges, please order them with model kits. Likewise, if you only purchase decals, try to order enough decals make the shipping cost (per sheet) worth while.

Still factory sealed but the seal has split across the center of the top as shown. The 1973 White Box issue is from the original 'Four Star' molds and part of Monograms incredibly popular & successful 1/48 scale WWII series that they started in the early 1960s. This is one of two known box art variants of the 'White Box' issue. The model features all parts and decals to build any of five versions, pilot figure, a wide variety of guns/bombs/rockets & cannon, retracting landing gear, rotating propeller & wheels and more.

Revell A3J Vigilante Nuclear Bomber - (A-5A), 1/83, H196-98

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc++

A3J Vigilante Nuclear Bomber - (A-5A)

$145

Widely believed to be the last 'S' kit issued. The 1959 hardbox has factory-new gloss and color, four solid corners, no repairs, no price tags and no fading, creases or tears. Very light surface wear and tape residue (on the two short sides) is the only significant flaws. The model features opening tandem canopies, moving control surfaces, detailed, removable jet engines and two pilots. As the last "S" kit, this kit also incorporated a critical improvement for the time that would become standard only fairly recently: all recessed detail. The entire kit has recessed panel lines and rivet detail-no raised marks. You can tell the Revell was upping their game, as this has an attention to detail that is lacking in many older Pre-S and S kits. Molded in the correct gloss light gray and clear with the "Globe" clear stand. Never started and inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. The instructions are 'near mint' with light age yellowing and the decals are perfectly flat, 100% intact and 'excellent++' with light age yellowing as the only flaw.

UPC Scorpion Swiss Armored Car - (ex Tamiya), 1/35, 5160-100

Scott Eidson, the famous artist best known for his artwork with Revell, also did UPC box art in the 1960s. All UPC production ended in the 1970s.

It has been inventoried 100% complete with all parts for four kits and all paperwork present.
