This Revell 'Classics' reissue is from 2010 and is the final 1960s modification of the 1950s 'S' kit molds - which means it is a Pre-S Cutlass with Sparrow with wing pylons and Sparrow missiles. Limited release kit. Has fine, recessed panel lines, film instruments and many brass photoetched parts. Never started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. A total of 125 Glen Submarine-based seaplane were built between 1941 and 1943 when they were replaced by the Aichi M6A1 Seiran. The first operational Glen mission was on December 17, 1941 when I-7 launched her aircraft for a dawn reconnaissance over Pearl Harbor to assess the damage done in the December 7th attack. In September of 1942, Warrant Officer Fujita took off in his Glen from I-25 and became the only aircraft to ever bomb the continental United States when he dropped phosphorus bombs in two attacks on the Oregon coast. Decals for both of these aircraft are included.

First issue from the early 1950s. Rare, big 1/48 scale kit. Please note the early Aurora rectangular logo, which was used from about 1953 to 1955. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including 'excellent' condition, flat decals and instructions and even includes the original factory tissue paper. NOTE: although the kit is complete, 1/8 inch (.31cm) of one-half of a tip tank is gone - it either broke off or was short shot.
