SALE!! Includes both rare kits from the 1940s in the original boxes. The Typhoon has a 10" wingspan and the P-61 is 10" also. Both are solid wood scale display models and feature profile (2D) cut fuselage (+P-61 booms) & wings, printwood and detailed full-size plans with templates, instructions and a painting guide. The Typhoon also includes color insignia and sandpaper. The P-61 also includes fully finished wooden nose and main wheels. Never started and complete with all parts and paperwork. Eagle Model Aircraft was located in Brooklyn, NY. In the late 1930s and 1940s they produced a very extensive line of large solid wood scale kits as well as stick-and-tissue flying models.

Very rare kit from the late 1940s and in 'excellent' condition inside and out. This kit is from the end of the 'Golden Age' of model aircraft and includes much of the more advanced technology that was coming along at the time. The fuselage is 3D cut, the wings and tails are 2D (profile) cut, there is a resin or chalk cast canopy in 'excellent' condition, cast metal prop, printwood, a sealed bag of small parts, one glass bottles of CZ Adhesive (for gluing metal to paint), several sheets of detailed, embossed and pre-cut metal covering for the kit, very detailed and illustrated instructions and full size plans. The kit has never been started. The small parts are still in the internal factory sealed envelope and the other parts have been inventoried complete including all paperwork.

Rare 1950 issue is very near to 1/72 scale. The model Features 2D factory cut fuselage & wing, a die-cut sheet of parts, fully finished wheels and excellent plans/instructions. NOTE: the fuselage has been slightly started. There is no other assembly. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts & plans present. In the 1930s and 1940s, most modelers built the flying stick and tissue type models with rubber, co2 or gas power. But there were a small but measurable percent that built solid aircraft display models of great detail. This required great skill worthy of the shipbuilders of old, especially considering the limited offerings. Many manufacturers, such as Comet issued blocks of wood and a plan - the famous (or infamous) 'Make Wood Look Like Plane' kits.

Sweet Aviation Models are perhaps the finest and most detailed kits ever produced in 1/144 scale. This model features two complete aircraft kits with very fine recessed panel lines. There is a large and extensive decal sheet for several different aircraft and even a full color painting guide on the back of the box. Never started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags. Includes decals and instructions. NOTE: the instructions are high-quality photocopies from the Sweet C-200 Tropical Version. The original instructions are missing; but the original paint guide is present because it is on the back and inside of the box.

Very rare. This is a solid wood model kit from the 1940s. It features two sheets of printwood, blocks and balsa stock, cardstock landing gear doors, color insignia, fully formed wood wheels, sandpaper, high quality plans with templates and some text instructions. Never used and complete. Supreme Scale Models were made by the Steve Patti Company in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In the pre-plastic days they produced an extensive line of solid scale models and a large number of flying stick-and-tissue models as well; they were called 'Supreme Flyers.'

For the advanced model collector and from 1940. Hawk was one of the few manufacturers making wooden kits to a constant scale of 1/48 in the 1930s. Hawk kits were considered high quality and very complete for that time and often included metal or plastic details. and superb quality drawings for the true scale enthusiast. The side of this box shows photos of 4 other built-up Hawk aircraft kits and gives a rare look at the product line. The model features a 3D (three axis) cut fuselage, 2-D cut wings and tail features, turned and completely finished hardwood spinner & wheels, finished propeller, sandpaper, wooden stock as needed, complete insignia sheet and excellent, well-detailed plans that include many templates and painting instructions. There is even another large fold-out instruction sheet with heavily illustrated text instructions for how to carve and build a solid scale model aircraft. Even the original Hawk factory packing tissue is present. The model has not been started and is 100% complete with all parts and paperwork. Please note that this kit is simply called the "Heinkel Fighter." From what what can tell, this is a He-112B, with the three-piece bubble canopy and probably the V-10 with the big undernose radiator scoop.

His autobiography is available and makes fascinating reading. Megow kits are very collectible today for their high quality and attractive box designs.
