1956 first and only issue in very good condition. The box has excellent color and gloss, four solid corners with no repairs, no rips, no tears and no fading. It shows the typical stains from the factory 'gift set' ribbons that Revell shipped these kits with. Never started. All three aircraft are still in the original factory sealed clear plastic bags. All paper work and the famous Revell Swivel Stands are in the factory sealed bags as well. The correct center factory divider is still present in the tray (box bottom) and there is a small, unopened, factory wrapped tube of Revell "S" Cement included.

Rare and even rarer in this condition. This kit was factory sealed but the seal recently split across the back - so I opened it up to do a 100% inventory and slid the seal back on. Inside, the kit is exactly as it left the factory - never started, with the red parts still in a factory sealed clear bag and with all other parts inventoried 100% complete, including 'excellent+++' decals and instructions. 1958 release of this famous kit featuring classic Jo Kotula boxart. The large 1/48 scale missile comes with a fully operational scale launcher. Please note this is a true first issue because there is no Parents' Magazine' printed logo or the golden sticker. The model features a well detailed missile with lower booster and the mobile launcher with good suspension detail, valves boxes and covers, tow bar, servicing and access platforms with railings, elevating main pad and three figures. Molded in the correct deep gloss red, silver and dark blue plastic. Please note that this kit displays better than the 'excellent' box grade but is rated as such because long crease on part of the lower long box side. This kit must be shipped insured. The Aurora "Missile Line" is legendary. In the late 1950s, the first missile model kits sold briskly, so Aurora and Revell both planned extensive lines. However, the missile modeling craze disappeared as quickly as it started. Models that were in the works were canceled or completed if they were far enough along. Those that were completed were fine efforts but sold poorly and had very short lives, making them rare collector items today.

This way the perspective buyer could lift the top up and view the contents of the kit and the contents would still remain completely sealed. Features excellent factory pre-cut and die-cut hard and plywood parts, quality strip wood for planking, very extensive wood and metal fittings, all required rigging material and extensive full-size plan sheets.

On this website are two articles that fully explain how to save or reproduce older decals; please read read these before using any older model kit or aftermarket decals. Because the USPS clearly states that any flexible envelope will be bent 90 degrees or more within 2 inches due to automatic sorting machines, I cannot send decals in a flexible envelope. And any decal reinforced with cardboard will be equal to or greater than 1/4" thick, which USPS says must go at the normal 'box' rate. There is no choice; because I will not knowingly send decals to destruction, they will only ship in a box. So to eliminate or save significantly on shipping charges, please order them with model kits. Likewise, if you only purchase decals, try to order enough decals make the shipping cost (per sheet) worth while.

First issue dated 1964 that includes the seal to the lower box (or "tray"). Monogram would sometimes put the seal around the tray with the parts, so that the prospective buyer could lift the top, view the contents and yet the kit would still remain factory sealed. This one includes that seal but it has split open. While present, it is no longer fully sealed and so the kit was inventoried complete. This is a very well detailed and molded kit which builds any of four versions including 2-Seat Night Fighter, day fighter, 'Droop Snoot' with bomber nose and F5 photo recon version. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions present.

Rare. 1961 issue in the Whip Fly 'Master Modeler' series. Does include the Master Modeler Trading Stamp (for the Competition Corvette) and MM application form. This series was quickly discontinued when it discovered that heavily weighted models with pointed front ends swinging at terrific speeds around young children might not be safe. Based on the 1950s F-106 "S" kit, the Delta Dart Whip Fly comes with USAF decals, flight ballast, handle, 12 feet of control line, control ring, colorful streamers (cut from the colored bag according to the instructions) for the jet engines and a underside pod which is a in-flight whistle! Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.

Very rare, out of production kit. The model is from the legendary Yankee Modelworks and is true museum quality. Features high-definition resin pressure-cast full-hull, numerous & beautiful cast metal details, 2 frets of brass PE parts and extensive decals. Never started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. USS Shea was laid down on 23 December 1943 by Bethlehem Steel Company yard at Staten Island, New York. The ship was originally going to be DD-750, an Allen M. Sumner-class destroyer. She was launched on May 20, 1944 and was sponsored by Mrs. John J. Shea. The ship was modified to be a destroyer minelayer, re-designated DM-30 in late 1944 and commissioned at the New York Navy Yard on September 30, 1944. The ship had a very active career in World War 2.
