| Rare Walthers 'golden age' craftsman kit from the 1950s. Builds an accurate prototype of this heavyweight Sante Fe Coach. Features metal car sides with all doors and windows cut out recessed window frames and exterior detail. Also included fully formed monitor roof, pre-cut hardwood floor, other pre-cut and shaped wood stock as needed, a bag of cast metal parts including car ends, bolsters stairs, vents and underside details, another bag with working diaphragms,scale chain, metal grab irons, more underside details and prism windows, yet another bag with underside and car details, gold Sante Fe decal sheet and full instructions. The kit has never been started. All parts are still in the factory sealed bags. Curtiss Hawk P-6E Solid Wood Model Airplane VG++ Wood old | ||
| Maircraft was originally founded in the early or mid 1930s by Gordon Christoph and went by the name Aircraft Model Company. The company produced a typical line of solid 'profile cut' kits that required the usual high talent levels for carving and finishing. A former Comet Model Airplane & Supply Co. salesman, Jack Mair, bought the company in the early 1940s and renamed it Maircraft. This company was one of the handful of solid kit producers who issued models in a consistent 1/48 scale during the 1930s and 1940s (others included Hawk and Dyna-Model). This lead to one of the most desirable and rare model kits ever produced in the USA - the wood/plastic 1/48 United DC-3 model issued immediately after World War 2. Other than the P-61 and a few other Maircraft offerings, most were simple kits that sold for the low price of about 35 cents and gave the owners many hours of pleasurable work. This kit features a full size plan with instructions steps, fuselage that is about 80% cut, profile cut parts, printwood and a small bag of details. The model has not been started. The parts are either in factory sealed bag(s) or inventoried 100% complete with all parts and instructions. | |||

| Molded in silver. The kit has never been started. NOTE: missing decals. Includes all parts and instructions. Box art is by the famous Jo Kotula who did 1930s covers for the magazine 'Model Airplane News' and later the Aurora box art of the late 1950s. Air Lines kits are all Frog molds that the Lines Brothers imported to the USA between 1964-1966. The kits, decals and instructions were made in England, then imported to the USA where Testors created the boxes with the colorful trading cards on the back. There are one or two trading cards on each box which show the boxart but not the advertising/logo. Some kits contain a Testors color painting guide also, but it is not specific to any model. | |||

| Early Monogram 'Four Star' aircraft kit with the artwork dated 1955. This is the third issue of this kit since it has 'PA6-98' and 'The Name For Quality Hobby Kits' in the box top logo (the second issue has 'Four Star Plastikit' in the logo). The actual release for this kit is probably between 1961 and 1966. Although created to 'box scale' (1/67 in this case), this model was very popular and remained in the catalog right up into the 1970s. Molded in the correct gloss silver and clear. The kit has never started. Inventoried with all parts, decals and instructions present. | |||

| Still in the factory seal. Large 1/20 scale. The history of the Chevrolet Corvair was mixed, but no one could doubt the beauty of the Corvair Monza GT show car. Crowds around the USA and Canada were wowed by the futuristic and luxurious vehicle. The design was absolutely ground-breaking for 1962. Other cars would copy certain traits for decades. Very nicely detailed model from original Eidai molds. Made in black, white, red, clear, chromed and rubber plastic with some metal parts. Large 1/20 scale. Features full engine and interior detail, opening passenger compartment, opening hood and steerable front wheels. | |||

JIGTIME Russian MIG-15 Flying Model Exc++ Injection Molded old | ||
| Rare kit in the famous Top Flight "JIGTIME" flying model series. The Jigtime series were wooden flying models but the tissue, rib and spar method was eliminated. The kit is built off of central jigs and all the wood is pre-printed with a colorful design. Includes vac canopy, launcher skid and rubber band. Reportedly flies at over 50 miles per hour...and since it is a Carl Goldberg design, it probably flies well. Appears to be very close to 1/48 scale. The kit has not been started and is in mint condition. No parts have been punched out of the sheets and the printing is clear and crisp. Complete with all parts, Jigtime flying tips pamphlet and colorful instructions featuring Topsy and Flitey - your animated building assistants. | |||

| 1970s reissue of the older kit. Kit features traditional wood/tissue construction, detailed full size plans, building instructions, wire stock, clear material, rubber, tissue and propeller. The model has not been started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts and instructions. Comet was a famous manufacture of stick and tissue flying and static models. In the 1930s Great Depression, they lead the low-priced kit revolution with the "Dime Scale" kits and famous advertisements in Model Airplane News magazine and others. Comet reached it's peak in the 1930s when they acquired the services of Carl Goldberg. Goldberg was a highly accomplished modeler with articles in Model Airplane News and famous designs that won him several National level competitions in the 1930s and beyond. (Carl Goldberg went on to found his own company and produced well designed and popular free-flight and RC aircraft). Comet survived the post World War economic slump and continued kit production until they were bought out by long-time competitor Guillow's in 1998. | |||
